My husband and I are going to be in Vegas April 16th through 22. Since the day we get there is Easter Sunday and I won't be at my parents house to get the normal massive Easter dinner homecooked.......I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for us. We would prefer sit down (no buffet) and something that won't break the bank.....$100 or under for 2. We both love steak and pasta.....the hubby is a huge seafood fan whereas I'm not unless it is perfectly done lobster :D Any ideas would be welcomed. We are foodies here at home and don't mind stepping out of the norm food wise. We have been to Vegas more times than we can count collectively.....but we usually buffet it or just grab bites on the go. Just a bit of info....we are staying at the Aladdin the 1st three nights....and won't have a car.

Thanks for the help!
Michelle

We haven't yet tried it but lots of folks recommend Mon Ami Gabi at Paris next to the Aladdin. The reviews seem to have it in your price range. There are some nice Italian places in the Aladdin and the Desert Passage shops. It may be crowded as far as seating goes anywhere on Easter Sunday. Have a great visit.

Venuto at Flamingo is good Italian. We have not had a bad meal there and have eaten there 5 or 6 times, it would be easy to get to from Aladdin.
You could also try Mon Ami Gabi next door at Paris, decent steaks and a great view of the Bellagio Fountains. We don't eat alot of steak, so I really don't know the average price of steak houses, but I do know my husband, father in law and I all ate at Mon Ami Gabi and the bill with tip was about $135 for all of us. I would suggest going with the NY Strip over the sirlion as the sirlion was not very good.
My mind is racing in regards to Italian food........we have eaten at so many and I am drawing a blank!!! One that gets good reviews that we have no tried yet is Onda at Mirage and I think it can be done for around 100.
If you decide to splurge, the best meal I have had in Vegas was at Il Mulino New York at the Caesar's forum shops.....You said you were foodies and I think you would enjoy this. The service the food, everything was perfect. It would probably run you between $130-$150 including tip. If you call them, they will fax you the menu so you can check it out. You could also go for Sunday dinner on Easter around 1:30 as they are open til 2 for lunch and the menu is much more reasonable. If you go, after dinner grab a coffee or espresso next door at Ferrara's, the cannoli's are wonderful! I am trying to find a link to some reviews for you.

I wanted to add one thing about Il Mulino, if you decide to go, stay away from the specials if money is a concern. They tend to be much higher priced than items on the menu.

A good place for a steak dinner is the Range at Harrahs. You can get a good meal for about $100 for two if you are not heavy wine drinkers. They also have seafood, chicken, etc. Shrimp cocktails are fabulous. Steaks are always done to perfection. I think their seafood dishes are lacking a little, but we have eaten there several times and never had a bad meal. Reservations are suggested and they open at 5:00pm. We call from home a few days before we leave to make reservations. Dress code is dressy casual, but I've seen people in there who were dressed, let's say, casual-casual. The restaurant is well laid out and very nice inside. Quiet. You get a good view of the strip. Some days there is live music, but it is very quiet and subdued. Impeccable service. You can go to Harrahs website and pull up their menu and see what they offer and the prices. It's not a bad walk from the Aladdin. We have walked it several times from the Paris, and we ain't spring chickens.

Antonio's at the Rio is good Italian and two can eat there for less than $100 without the wine. A glass of wine each will put the bill right at $100. Their wine is $11 a glass, or was last summer. Very good service. Dress code is dressy casual, but they are not strict about it. They also suggest reservations. Their menu is also on the Harrahs website. You would have to take the Harrahs shuttle which stops now at Ballys.

Hope this helps. Have fun and win, win, win.
