I posted this same question a while ago. It is under "user CP" on the bar on this page, the click on "Edit Avator". The instructions are simple to follow on that page. :)

I was wondering about this also. I have tried to get screen grabs from different movies/tv shows and I keep getting the same message about the size not fitting the format.

I saved the image to my computer then went into it myself and changed the size settings before applying it to my avator. Hope this helps.

You add an avatar by entering the 'User CP' (from the navigation bar above) and then choosing 'Edit Avatar' from the left.

The key is having the image in the correct size - the system requires the image to be 80 by 80 pixels and no larger than 19.5 kilobytes in JPEG format. You might have to re-size/manipulate the image before you post it, using a program like 'Photoshop', 'ImageReady', or even 'Windows Paint'.
