Up until 5 years ago, I would have answered this question, "No." I mean, sure, I drink and gamble there way more than I do at home but that's only because I don't have to drive anywhere and I'm not much for the Indian casinos (there are 3 within 20 miles of where I live) since I'd rather save my money for LV.
My friend, Barbara, and I went to Vegas in 2000. It wasn't her first time but her first time wasn't that good and she didn't see anything. I shlepped her everywhere. I should also mention that, at that time, Barbara and I had been friends for 20 years. At one point, she turned to me and said, "This is your city." My response was, "What do you mean?" She replied, "Well, you're happier here. Lighter, if you will. You're just a different person."
Maybe that's why I go so much. I love who I am when I'm there. It's like a shot of oxygen.

When in Vegas, I definitely drink more, swear more, dress more wild, etc. This is the one time a year when my husband and I take a vacation without the kids. I can say the "F" word, I can dress kind of provacatively, and I definitely drink more, every day, while I am there. This is what a vacation without the kids is all about. And you know there's a pretty good chance you will not run into anyone who knows you. So let yourself get WILD!

I am so much more relaxed and care-free in Vegas. Never look at the clock for anything, eat meals at all times of the day or night, and have no stress. I only bring as much money as I can afford to lose, so don't stress about money either. Other than that, don't think I am different.

I never really thought about it until I read some of the responses and I guess in way yeah I am very different! I have consider more fun, walk more, drink more - yeah only time I can cleanse the body ha ha, (and for free too), gamble maybe a little more but only because I allow more money for Vegas. Yeah I guess I would say I am very much a different person in Vegas!!! There is just something about the lights and action - it does change you!! Interesting thought! ;)

I am pretty much the same person. The only difference is the long term smile on my face while I am there!
Yeah, my Vegas personality is different. I usually average 7 hours sleep a night at home, Vegas MAYBE 3 hours a night. I smoke...MORE. I drink....a LOT MORE. I have more... FUN! It usually takes a few days to recover from a week in Sin City...and I wish I could go more often. The place is a constant buzz! :D

We're not really much different. We dress the same (jeans & t-shirts) and do some things together and some things separately. I stay up later than he does, but I stay up 'til about 2:30 (CST) when at home so staying up 'til 4:30 or 5:00 a.m. is about the same in Vegas. We probably smoke a little more. We are not drinkers so that is not an issue.
The only things that we might do differently is eat more buffets and eat a bigger breakfast. As far as being different people, we're not. We're just the same old fogies that we are at home.

I love people watching and there is no better place in the world than Vegas. Normally I don't stop and stare but I do all the time. If I pass a high limit card game I stop. If I see someone that looks interesting I stop. If I see a group that is "different" I stop and gawk.
I spend money on things I would never do in NH.
I drive faster than I do in NH.
I stay up much later tthan I do normally.
I eat like it is the "Last Supper"
I skip Mass (after all I'm in sin city)
Oh yeah I gamble.

I am not a drinker but one night while dining at Embers at the Imperial Palace I had what amounted to an entire bottle of wine at dinner.
There was a large group of Japanese people having dinner a few tables away and I started mentioning Pearl Harbor in a not so flattering way.
Got a lot of people mad at me that night including Eileen
I also have a better personality in Las Vegas than I have in New York. I tend to come out of my shell a little more.

I'd like to say I was the same person but if I was I wouldn't be daydreaming about being there when I'm home. There's no other place that can put a smile on my face like Vegas:p , even if it takes me a week to recupe when I get back:cool:

Absolutely. No one there cares who I am or what I do. I become more carefree and unconcerned with what other people think. In your home town you have to care.

This is the best topic yet. When I go to Vegas, I take on a different persona completely. By no means am I a high roller, but in Vegas, I can be. I have learned the system of comps and work it to a tee. I use the alias, Anthony Christian Edwards,(ACE) and have a blast. Sometimes I dress up in a Suit, sometimes just shorts and bowling shirt. I like to tip big and I am always loud and obnoxious. I only get to go about every 18 months, so I start putting away Vegas Fund as soon as one trip is over. That way I can blow it all with no regrets. I love Vegas, and Vegas loves me. ACE

Well, of course I do things there that I don't do at home but as far as my actual personality changing..........maybe a little happier and friendlier.
My husband on the other hand becomes a totally different person in Vegas, he becomes "Vegas Brian" meaning he is carefree and fun. He normally is a workaholic and is stressed out lol.

when I used to vacation in Vegas, I felt better and acted differently, the second I stepped off the plane. My sinuses don't give me problems out here (yet--I hear it will come back eventually), and since I felt great when I arrived in Vegas, I was ready to party! Be it dinner and dancing, spa treatments, gambling, or just people watching. Most of my inhibitions were gone. Vegas is a whole new world as opposed to rural Pennsylvania. I loved it so much when I vacationed here, that I moved here!

YEA! all of the above! much more free ( er) and excited most of the time i am there. i also think nothing of having a cocktail at 7 a.m. to get that early gambling buzz. would never do that at home. i don't even have liquor in my house, tho i do occassionally have a cocktail when out .

Well, my outgoing, talk-to-anyone-fun personality isn't any different :D but I can display it more in a place like Las Vegas, because I encounter people I don't already know. And I can go out after dinner, both because there's stuff to do and because I don't have to worry about finding a parking space when I get home.
And, um, sonntex? I don't know how to break this to you except to come right out and say it,,, if you're up until 4:30 AM in Las Vegas, it's like staying up until 6:30 AM at home - unless you don't change your watch to Pacific time, in which case staying up until 4:30 in Las Vegas is the same as staying up until 4:30 back home :)

I spend my days at home running the same game M-F. At home, the house advantage can take a bigger bite out of my soul if I couldn’t escape once in a while. In Vegas I can run my own game on my own time. The house advantage in Vegas is what I’m willing to forgo, it drains my pockets but fills my soul.
A man with a rejuvenated soul is a changed man!

I truly LOVE Las Vegas. I am totally relaxed and on cloud nine when I am there. The problem: We live on the east coast, so we only get there once a year. But, when we come it is for 3 weeks or so. I truly love the downtown area and the off the main drag sites such as: Arizona Charlies, Cannery, Fiesta, etc. Atlantic City is not at all the same, but it has to do for a fix.

It depends on who I am with out there. Different friends that I go with means doing different things. Mostly I go to gamble but like to get around and see all the places. I like to make a trip downtown but others don't.
I would enjoy havingdinner at one of the better restraunts but the one friend just wants to do the cafes or even the fast food. If I was afraid of spending money I sure wouldn't pick Las Vegas.
I forget all the things going on at home and just enjoy.

I indulge my self with all of the above "More-Ofs", eating
and drinking dancing and general partying. The only Less-Of" is sleep. Five hours a night is suffcient. Try to make a show everyday but also spend enough time at the tables
to qualify for comps and future comp invitations. Best of all, I am 62 and there I feel and act like I am 42. Another best is I am now going more, four-five times a year, and
staying at least six nights instead of four.
Must be the 42 yeaqr old feeling thats making me do it.

We love Las Vegas as all the rest of the posters do, sometimes we go with a group, sometimes as a couple. Our last trip we went just the 2 of us and had a ball. Ate when we wanted, gambled when we wanted, stayed out as late as we wanted, just like grown-ups!! but acted like two kids (even though we are late 50's) We both hated it when the trip was over, so much that we booked our nest trip (April) as soon as we got home (3rd trip this year) our kids think we should just move there, maybe? we should! I love it when our friends go also, but last trip we loved just being FREE!:D Yes we are truly different people in Vegas

Definitely we are different folks in Vegas. I figured it out...no timetables. That's what I like most about Vegas. We go out and could care less what in the world is going on with any one else in the world, our home lives, jobs, etc. Heck I hate making dinner or show reservations because it puts us back on a clock.

It is Disneyworld for adults. Makes you feel like a kid, makes you feel like a romantic adult,;) makes you feel like you would have liked to have been there in the 'rat pack era'. We set our watches to Vegas time when we get off the plane and never look at them again unless we have to be at a show, or it's time to catch the plane home. We smile a lot more and have a little more spring in our many, many steps! After 35 years of marriage, we get to know each other again. This happen every time we go to our favorite vacation spot. Guess that's why, like many of you, we are going more and more often every year. Hope we never lose that Vegas feeling.:) So I guess maybe we all are a little different in Las Vegas. We must like the way the change feels on us 'cause we keep going back for more!

I think for me it is the change from home. At home we have schedules, routines, usually go to bed same time, eat at the same time. When I go to Vegas, everything is thrown out the window, schedules, meal times, bed times. You can get up or go to bed whenever you want, you can eat breakfast at 2 AM, so I really do change into a different person in that wonderful city.

Yes, I'm a completely different person. When we returned from our first trip, I
thought how exciting and happy the city made me feel. I knew I needed to go
back as often as possible! Vegas changes so much that it's never the same when you return! I feel I'm in a fantasy and my hubby says I'm even a little bit
sexier!!!;) My two favorite places are the Pharoh's Feast Buffet, even though the food isn't the greatest. I guess it's the cozy atmosphere I love. Another favorite
is The Secret Garden at Mirage. Isn't it great to have a place like Vegas that
offers so much variety for everyone?? Love that town!!:)

When in Vegas, I eat more of the foods I know I shouldn't eat, :p
I exersize less... I mean a lot less.... the most exersizing I do in Vegas is finger push ups on the slot machines. ;)
I deposit more money in the casino banks and less in my own. :(
When I return home I spend the next several months reducing my weight and building up my vegas slush fund. I do all this so I can go out there again and eat too much and spend too much.
I know this is fun, I just can't figure out why????

Everything is different when I get to Vegas, I take about 15 years off my age, pretend the money I brought with me is what I spend everyday on a regular basis, talk to everyone, and my husband is worse, he goes right into high-roller fantasy. It is like the fountain of youth.;)

Although I grew up in NYC, I now live and work in a small town. Being in LV brings back all the energy I felt while growing up in the city, and I love just going out on my own to different places. (This is a good thing because my husband is parked in front of the TV by 8 PM) We stay mid-strip and I walk all over the place by myself or drive the rental car to downtown or Henderson to hang out there. It's just a great feeling of freedom and nowhere I have to be!:)

At home my friends tease me about being a multi-tasker, which I really have to admit I am. When I get to Vegas I am a single-tasker, can only sit, and sit at slot machines. Want to shop?--Nope, I'm playing my machine. Want to eat,--Nope, I'm playing my machine, just bring me something. Want to see a show---Nope, playing my machine. Want to swim--Nope, I'm playing my machine, I can swim at home. Want to sleep---Nope, I'm playing my machine--I'll sleep on the plane. Once we played 36 straight hours!
I love Vegas!

I love Vegas. As soon as I see the casinos from the plane, I feel like a different person, smiling from ear to ear. I get so excited when we get off the plane and see the slots. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I don't have to worry about schedules, eating or sleeping at a certain time. I can stay up all night, sleep all day (which I never do). I barely get any sleep in Vegas, but that's okay. Can't wait- we'll be back in about 2 months.

:D Depends on how much I have to drink! I'm not one to get blasted, but I do have to admit one night with our friends at the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio, we all were feeling quite "good" (putting it mildly) and got kinda crazy (but good crazy, of course!) Thank God what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!

I am MUCH more happier in Vegas - a completely different person. As a criminal lawyer you can imagine how dreary my day is working with the "best" of society so I save up my happiness for reaching Vegas! My personality changes the minute I step ON the plane because I know I'm on my way to the best place in the world!
I have problems with my bones and don't get to do much walking in cold Scotland because of it. The Vegas heat is a cure! I can walk for miles and not feel a bit of pain - I don't know if it is heat or adrenaline!!! :D
Like Steve, I'm not a drinker. I don't ever drink. But during a trip, I think it was the June 2004 trip, I went to the 80's night in the House of Blues and got a bit merry - let's say I was as "jober as a sudge!" LOL. It was brilliant! Needless to say, the hangover has left me never wanting to drink again. But hey, it's Vegas!!!!! :p
Eat too much, drink to much, never had the problem of winning too much though!!!

I feel Vegas removes years off my actual age. I think it's because Vegas is just so different from the normal 9 to 5 fix supper, go to the dentist, file the taxes kind of life we all have at home. In Vegas we eat steak for breakfast or pancakes for supper, and those meals are whenever!!! I also can be perfectly happy sitting at a slot machine for hours, the shows are superb, and as an added bonus when I go it's to see my son, dil and grandkids so I am super excited for that reason also.:D

Like leigh55, my wife was very attractive. In Las Vegas she would buy new attractive sexy dresses. She looked like the highest price hooker, and enjoyed showing off, gambling and several adult places, and made it clear she was with me. It was terriffic.

Not really much different. I go to have fun with my friends. I still am a limited risk taker - so I stick to low-limit BJ and VP. The one thing that changes is I'm a little more willing to spend money for eating out. I'd kick myself for spending $30 for lunch for days at home. In Vegas, it's just part of the vacation!

It seems the common thread here is mostly about Clocks and how we all like being disconnected from them. Everyone knows there are no clocks in Vegas, but it seems timeless because we make it that way too. We are both planners by nature and i will spend hours reading about vegas and what do do when there. All the plans and ideas just go into the back of my mind and we just enjoy they days as they go by. ( the research is still there and does come in handy, but it doesnt dictate when things are done or not done.) Oh i cant wait till JUNE! :)

Sure, we're different in Las Vegas. Part of the lure of Vegas is that it's so different from our everyday lives - no alarm clock (or other clocks), no pressure or deadlines of work, no schedules, no running to the supermarket or putting the garbage out.
Take all that away and substitute a great hotel, gambling, drinking, eating at restaurants we've always wanted to try, seeing shows, shopping and window shopping, relaxing, sightseeing... We're in vacation mode as soon as the plane leaves NY. I think the flexibility and lack of tension are the biggest differences we feel, allowing us to be really relaxed and enjoy and appreciate everything we see and do.
We only get to Las Vegas once a year, but as soon as we get home we start planning the next trip to make the feeling last as long as possible. Participating in ELV helps alot too!

I definitely have a Vegas Personality. That personality has no respect for money and drinks a lot.
Money doesn't matter in Vegas. At home, I think about what I eat and how much it is going to cost. I would never buy a $5 bottle of water. I will probably spend $100 on water alone next week in Vegas. I would never go out and buy $10 drinks or $300 bottles of Grey Goose, but I do that in Vegas.
I don't normally drink liquor, usually just beer. In Vegas, just the opposite, I drink Grey Goose Tonics like water. I also would never drink during the day at home, but I'm usually having a Bloody Mary by 9AM in Vegas.

For me it's like a oil change for the soul. I live life in a wholesome manner for about 3 months. At the end of those 3 months I have to relieve my soul from all the non-wholesome activity that has been building up inside and LV is the perfect place to let it loose. I drink and eat like there is no tomorrow. Time?...There is no time in LV. 1, 2, 3 am....who cares! It's time to get wild. It's time to relieve the soul of all the non-wholsome junk that is just sitting there. My last oil change was in January. I have one more month to go.:D

I am a COMPLETELY different person while I'm in Vegas! I teach 7th and 8th grade so when I'm in Vegas, I can really let my hair down. We live in a small town and everyone knows my husband and I - he's the morning radio show personality - so it's nice to be (kinda) bad and not have to deal with the small town gossip that goes with it.
We enjoy going to shows and dinner - I love to dress for dinner! I also tend to be a bit more flirtatious while I'm there. My husband loves to charm the ladies, too. We are usually in bed by 9:30 until we go to Vegas. Then, we can stay up until 6am and not even think twice about it.
Just as other posters have mentioned, Vegas gives you energy you only dream of having while at home. I'm like a giddy school girl, wanting to experience every sight, smell, tast and sound as if it were my first awakening. There is no way to explain the high you get from just taking it all in. I wouldn't trade it for the world!;)

I am different in Vegas. I live a very quiet life, so when in Vegas, I literally let it all hang out! I dance with younger men in the lounges and clubs; I eat food that I normally would never eat like tons of desserts from the buffets or junk food non-stop; I drink far too much because I am walking everywhere and don't have to worry, worry about driving and DUI's; I gamble like I have money (not); and, I shop everywhere and anywhere including the gift shops, outlets, which I normally hate to do, and I buy things I normally wouldn't for the heck of it! The mood in Vegas for me has me almost punch drunk or day and night long. I love to go show slumming too. Some of the late night nudie shows are risque and tintillating. I am up until all hours so why not! I enjoy the excitement in the clubs and casinos with people of all nationalities doing their thing. I talk to total strangers in the casinos and clubs where I normally wouldn't at home. I learn so many interesting items from all of these people too. Then I get a stray guy who feels lucky and likes my looks or what I am saying, and he might throw me a $100 chip for luck! Now that's Vegas for ya'. Or I have the best meal I have ever had in my life at one of the world's top restaurants right at my fingertips. And, the free entertainment and excitement around is astounding too. I will walk a mile to watch the Bellagio fountain show since I think it's breathtaking and reminds me of my time in Italy. The craziness in the airport before getting into town revs me up too. All in all I just love to go to Vegas, the anticipation ahead of time, the lack of sleep and too much drinking and partying, albeit I am 60 years old; and the fact that nobody knows me there, that I can wear what I want, do what I want and be somebody else if I want. What more could anyone hope for than a trip to Las Vegas. Vegas rules!!!!;) ;)

I think the biggest change is being able to spend 24/7 with my hubby. We work different shifts and are lucky to see each other awake for an hour a day. Maybe that's the key to our happy marriage! :) We definately sleep less. We thoroughly enjoy not having to be anywhere. It is great to fill up the jacuzzi and order breakfast from room service and just relax. Like other posters, we are rarely drink at home, but in Vegas, if we are in the casino in the morning its hot tea & Bailey's! We are constantly asked why we go back so often. We don't try to explain to Vegas virgins. Where else can you go and be waited on and treated like a king and not have to pay for it and maybe, just maybe, hit something big enough to cover your bankroll!
53 days and counting!

I don't know that I would say I am different, but I do drink more(and can hold it better) than I do at home. I get less sleep but feel more relaxed. I would say my personality does not change, but I am more at ease in LV. I love talking to people at the tables and while playing VP. To me the Vegas experience is about having fun and letting lose, not having to worry about whether or not I fed the dogs ( I just have to worry that the dog sitter didLOL) do I have milk in the fridge etc. So I guess the difference is, I don't worry as much in LV.

Oh yeah. As soon as I get off the plane I become a movie star on vacation. I dress in things that if anyone at home would see they wouldn't believe. I'm also a free spirit when I go to clubs dance as wild or as sexy as I want and by no one knowing who I am; I just let myself go.:D

Wow, what a topic! Ok, here we go....YES! I become a different person! ;) I act like I'm very wealthy, (I'm not...lol)! Mostly at night, I dress up in very nice clothes, wear very expensive jewlery, go to the "best shows", the "best restaurants". We tip matre'd's to get up close to stage shows, we also tip to get the "best" table possible in restaurants. We gamble like we're rich. We'll only stay in Bellagio (or maybe Mirage suites, and might try Wynn soon)! Vegas is our only vacation that we take and we try to save as much as we can for it, so we tend to "splurge" a tad! During the day we're in our jeans and t-shirts, checking out every casino there is, no matter how grungy, but at night I like to look and act the "rich spoiled princess" part. We cab it everywhere, we over-tip everyone, and we only order the "best" liquor and wine we want! Of course, when I say the word "best", it usually goes along with most expensive! Yes, we probably overspend foolishly, but...it's Vegas!!!! We enjoy ourselves to the MAX! :D

Yes, I am different. I'm more obnoxious then when I'm home. It works for me.:)

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't change, whether in Las Vegas, Los Angeles or any vacation place. Or, should I say that I only hope I don't change.
I don't drink, so there's no overindulging there. I just act weird. I quit smoking over 20 years ago, so there's no overindulging there. I've never been a "loud" or obnoxious person, except that I speak loudly (or so I've been told).
I normally wear casual clothes, whether it be to work or in Las Vegas. If it's a good restaurant, I dress accordingly, whether in Las Vegas or not. When going to a play or show, I dress accordingly, whether in Las Vegas or not.
With the Indian casinos around, my gambling itch is scratched.
But, I have fun no matter where I am. I don't have to worry who will be watching. And if the priest sees me, I ask "do you come to this nudie bar often?" My girlfriend, Suzy, is generally my only worry, but she's usually with me in Las Vegas or elsewhere, so I don't have to worry about her. I guess that's the luxury of being old and single. I'm sure I'll pay for it later in life!

I also have a better personality in Las Vegas than I have in New York. I tend to come out of my shell a little more.
Steve
I don't think it's so much that Steve's personality is BETTER in Vegas, I think he just enjoys Vegas so much that it comes out more. He is definitely more active - much more!! At home that's exactly where he prefers to be - home!
When I'm in Vegas I am more relaxed. But I would be on any vacation where I don't have to make the beds, clean or cook. I eat more. I'd like to say I spend more money in Vegas but the truth is I could spend just as much at home. I don't think I'm much different. I just do different things.

My wife and I change into different people in Vegas. I wear very casual clothes including shorts which I hardly ever wear, even though i live in Houston. We go to bed much later between 1am and 2am. Drink which I hardly do back home, and Hotel sex!!!!!!!!!!

No clock, no schedule, no worries....I just get sooooo laid back! Ever leave a ball of Silly Putty on a table, then come back an hour later and you have a PUDDLE of Silly Putty instead of a ball? I try to maintain that semi-puddle level of relaxation from the time my eyes open in the morning until they close again the following morning. You simply cannot reach that level of relax when home in the real world. 30 more days til the next trip...thought about booking tickets to see .38 Special at the Silverton, but decided not to buy the tickets because that would insert SCHEDULE into my valuable Vegas time! I'm not willing to give up an evening's freedom by having to be somewhere at an appointed time. Instead of being at The Silverton at 8:00pm Saturday night,
I'm going to be wherever I happen to be, doing whatever I happen to be doing! NOW THAT'S MY IDEA OF A VACATION!
But that's just me...

I don't get to Vegas very often, but I agree with many others here that losing a time schedule makes the biggest difference in my personality.:o
It's relaxing in a strange sort of way! It's a fun feeling to be able to wake up at any time and rejoin the fun down in the casino!
It's also fun to eat when you're hungry. Once went with two other women: one of us had breakfast, one had a steak dinner, and I had a banana split!:p
My personality itself doesn't change much, yet I guess I'm more outgoing and relaxed.
Living close now to casinos in Iowa, the gambling "itch" gets a fix. Vegas, however, feels like you're living on a different planet!

Nope...when I am in Las Vegas, I am the same old me, just more relaxed and a little drunker...

When I'm in Vegas, whether I'm walking or driving or riding around, I keep hearing Dean Martin sing "Ain't that a kick in the head" all the time. How lucky can one guy be?

I ytravel to LV ebery other month ... business/pleasure
What I notice about myself while in VV is complete freedom to just do what I want, when I want, if I want in a bubble of no concept of time.
I found out a way to FINALLY beat the Casinos and that was achieved by investing in Casino stocks... BYD etc.
LV will grow and grow and grow. There will be mishaps along the way but the total LV feeling cannot be duplicated anywhere else.

I should say we are all different when we go to LV my wife and me certainly are, happier, more laid back, relaxed, easlier pleased. The first thing we do before booking in to our hotel is to have a cocktail then we know we are here and we can relax after our 10 hour flight. Looking at other people in the shops, cassino's and prominarding down the Strip they are happy, smiling and carefree even most of the people who work in LV seem to be enjoy what they are doing. And of course we can act the fool with most laughing with and not at us. We eat more and drink more and we enjoy everything to the full.

You have to remember "What happens in Vegas stays in VEGAS". Well most of it anyway. We got married there last year and that came home with us and it goes back to Vegas with us too:) . I pay less attention to time, drinks and what I eat there, but more attention to people. Vegas is a people watchers paradise.;) . We tend to play downtown or out on Boulder too many strollers and Pampers on the Strip. See ya'll the end of April at GN for a week.

Do I change when I get to Vegas? YOU BET!!! LOL! I'm normally a free spirited, devil may care type of person but in Vegas I'm not looking over my shoulder for another PTA Mom to catch me doing it! LOL! I dress sexier, drink more (as many others have stated), have lots more sex (in front of strip view windows is my favorite). I was even mistaken for a hooker! LOL In my normal life, I'm a stay at home mom of 3 kids that drives carpool! Only in Vegas...:p

Do I change when I'm in Vegas? You bet your bippie (or whatever you want to bet .... lol). I'm a lot more active, stay up a lot later, eat too much, and spend like it's going out of style. Other than that , not too much of a difference.

I'd say that my personality is the the same, I just let it out more in Vegas. I do all the same things as everyone else, drink more, spend more, tip more, gamble like I have money. But I think that is all my personality, I just don't have a place or means to show it, but I do in Vegas. So it's me in Vegas and not me at home, if that makes sense.

I am definitely different in Vegas.
By day I'm a mild-mannered accountant who saves money, invests wisely and clips coupons. Early to bed, early to rise, and three squares a day.
But when in Vegas, I slap down those green chips as if they were, er, well, nothing more than green chips! I eat one big meal a day (and "drink" the others) and I usually get only a few hours of sleep before hitting it again.
It's wonderful - but I'm always ready to go home when the time comes!

I have to say that I recognize myself in PICKLES statement ! In real life I am a NICU nurse, very scheduled and organized, not a tightwad, but yes a coupon-clippin' grandma, who goes to soccer, and washes the dogs on the weekends.....In Vegas, as soon as I hear the "cha-ching" of a slot machine in the airport, it all changes...I become a no more clock watching, find me a waitress, who cares if it's 2am... we need a KrispyKream donut, hand me another $50, 3 hours of sleep will do, cram-in-as-much-as-we-can-while-were-here, happy go lucky kinda gal.
We usually go every 3-4 months. This time, due to other obligations it will be 12 months and 3 weeks between trips!! Let me tell you, I could EASILY pack up and go right now...it's suprising how much I miss it.
