Has anyone had breakfast at either Commander's Palace or House of Blues?

Hi Wiley,

I'm not entirely certain that House of Blues is open for breakfast on any given day. I have been to the Sunday Gospel Brunch. The food was adequate but I would not compare it to the buffets at Aladdin or Paris (my two favorites). A lot of the foods have a southern flair. Since it's a buffet, I don't think that anyone would have a problem finding a couple of things to their liking. They had bagels and lox so I was happy. The entertainment is superb and they really get the joint rocking.

I agree with LoriR's opinion of House of Blues GOSPEL BRUNCH. The food was plentiful if not imaginative. The show was excellent. The price for both is $40.00. They do two seatings on Sundays, one at 10:00 and one at 1:00 (I think - check for sure). But beware -- No body surfing or hand walking allowed! :D

Commander's Palace has a brunch which starts at 11:00AM. They have a deal that for one price (it used to be $35 but it might be more now) you get an appetizer, entree, dessert, plus a drink. Food and service were always excellent. Never crowded - easy to get a table. I think it's a pretty good deal.

Commander's Palace's website lists breakfast 9 am-11am in addition to Brunch, and House of Blues's site also mentions breakfast in addition to Brunch but gives no times or details, and neither has a link to the breakfast menu.

Any information would be great!

I've eaten breakfast at the House of Blues. Very good.

I had a light breakfast at Commander's Palace - beignets with caramel dipping sauce, and chicory coffee. The beignets were served very hot, and the dipping sauce was very good. I wish I remembered what else was on the menu, but no luck. My vague impression is that it was a very limited menu.
