Hi Everyone,

This is my first post.

I am going to Las Vegas from April 5th through April 10th. I am having trouble finding any cheap rooms on the strip for this time period. Has anyone heard about any deals or promo codes? Thanks in advance for your help.

How much are you willing to pay and are your dates flexible?

The reason I ask is that the following week NY-NY's price is 99. and if you call VIP services to reserve it, it will probably go down to 79. They are not crowded that week and when you check in ask for a room upgrade. They will give it to you, no charge. And if you gamble in their casino just a little, you will probably not be charged for the room at all.

I have to go that week. Our tickets are paid for and the vacation time has been approved at work. Any suggestions?

I do VEGAS every April.
It's a popular month --
The "specials" are hard to come by for that month.
And harder to comeby than in previous years.
This year I haven't found any for my dates.
keep hunting....+ good luck

April is horrible this year. We usually go the last week in April but it has been too crowded with the Broadcasters convention of 135,000 people, so we booked the first week of April, now find out that there will be over 125,000 for conventions that week too. Too late now as we have our flights and hotel. But I am very glad we booked early as there are no rooms to be had on the strip now for the first week of April unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. We had booked the Monte Carlo for an average of 99.00 per night. It is now up to 250.00 and more per night. Hope you find something.

Yes, I agree with the previous post. My sister and I just booked our trip together after having to change our orginal date of April 4-6 (sister tends to wait until the last minute!). Can you say room price shock! Mid strip hotels are sold out and the rooms that we did find were $300- 400 (Harrahs, Flamingo, etc). Called a couple of the hotels and found out about the hoards of conventions that first week in April driving the prices! So we looked at the next week, and I found some fabulous rates at Harrahs & Rio for $60-70, yes Rio at $70/night 4/12-14. These rates were for players club members (I'm just a low roller, gold member) But sister couldn't get good flights on those dates so we wound up booking 4/9-11 at Imperial Palace on the Casino Gold offer of $65 night, as my sister really wanted to stay mid strip and IP had the most decent prices on those dates. The IP Casino Gold promo is on their website and it was really easy to book.

There's always Casino Royale too, haven't been there (hotel part) but have heard the rooms are good basic rooms and it is a small hotel to get in and out of. I found rates of $69/night for the above dates both weeks in April.

Keep checking and sometimes if you call the hotels directly and get a nice person on the other end they can be very helpful!

(The IP casino gold offer includes two free Emperor buffets, but my sister couldn't believe that the buffet was that bad as I tried to explain my experience last year with the dreaded Emperor's buffet! )

We also go in April - this year the 24th-27th and my eyes were falling out waiting for the mailman to deliver some good room offers. It wasn't happening.

I called IP directly, asked for Slot Marketing, and got a room price of $49 plus tax, which I thought was pretty good considering everybody else's prices, so I booked it.

Last week I got a card from the Stardust for $38 for the first night, with the 2nd night free, plus $10 in cash. This is for April, May and June. I'm not sure if I can list the codes here, but email me and I'll give them to you.

I'm tempted to call the Stardust, but I really like the IP location......
