We just got back from our trip and ate at Aladdin's Spice Market Buffet. We really didn't care for it and were surprised that it was rated as one of the best. Just wondering what others thought.

Always liked it. Maybe moreso for lunch. Thought Bellagio was better.
What were your problems with this buffy????

I thought it was one of the best I had in a long time. That was in 2004 and haven't had a buffet since. :)

I have visited the Aladdin buffet and thoughtit was quite good. I'm going to LV in 5 weeks and would also like to know what you didn't like about it, since I'm looking forward to eating there again.

I have never been disappointed with the Aladdin Buffet - in fact is always a must hit eating spot while there - tons of food choices, and the last 2 times I was there, the line was not as bad as it had been!! Agree with the others, would really like to know why you didn't like it as we are going out again in 4 weeks.

We stayed at Aladdin twice in 2005, March and August and both times sampled their buffets. In March we thought the buffet was very good value and had excellent choices (one of our party is vegetarian and found loads she could eat). The buffet line was enormous but we felt then it was worth the wait and good value for money. However, when we returned in August we were most disappointed - the choices were still there but the food was not so good. The whole place looked slightly unclean and uncared for and the organisation around the fish section was chaotic. I wondered at the time whether there had been a change in management or the pending change to Planet Hollywood had affected morale. We're back in Vegas in 5 weeks and I am undecided whether it give it another go.

Spice Market has always been on our short list, but it hasn't been consistent over the years. Some years, it's been fantastic, some years it's been OK. I never would have chalked it up in the "bad" category - but there have been times when we've talked about trying something else the following year. They do redeem themselves though - I haven't had a mediocre experience twice in a row.

We didn't think the food was that great. I personally didn't sample the crab legs but was told by another in our party that he didn't think they were very good. Cold in fact. We just didn't care for the selections and the food wasn't very hot either.

This is by far, the best buffet in Vegas.

You may wish to complain, but unless you have been to a number of Las Vegas buffets, you have no idea.

Flamble'd Crepes Suzettes - how can you go wrong?

I also consider this one of the top three buffets. My only problem with this buffet is the problem I have with most Las Vegas buffets...the food choices stay basically the same. There is no steady food rotation. I found this to be true at Wynn and also the Bellagio.

Like it more than most.

I haven't eaten there in a few years but what I remember most about it is the HUGE sugar free dessert area. Being diabetic, this is a HUGE plus for me. :D

I agree with Steve. This has always easily ranked in the top three. I've consistently been quite pleased with the freshness and presentation. Also, they have excellent Middle Eastern food so I use the relative healthfulness of that to mitigate the outrageous amount of food I tend to eat.

In truth, I haven't been in the buffet since PH has started their takeover. While employee morale may be a factor, there may also be some corporate directives, in terms of saving money, preferred food vendors, etc. that could affect the quality. I have not heard anything great about the quality of food at the Planet Hollywood restaurants. Would be interested in hearing of your experience there since, if it has gone downhill, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

We went last week on Thursday with a $5 off coupon handed to us. It was supurb. Great value. Good service. Wonderful selection of food and very fresh.

Can't say enough about it. It is making me hungry just typing this.

It is one of the best buffets we have had and we have had plenty (ask you can see if you could see us).

We worried a bit about the name, Spice Buffet but there were many items that were certainly not spicy at all. In fact, most were to our taste.

I would certainly go back and be happy to pay full price. It was that good.

Been wanting to try this buffet for a long time now.

What are some of the food choices? I have heard that their desserts are fantastic.

I live in a small town and get sick of "home cooking", "brass & fern" chains, and "college kid" food served at my local restaurants. I like the Spice Market Buffet because I can try different types of foods that a lot of the other buffets don't have.

I just returned from LV. The first meal we had there was the Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Aladdin buffet. It had not gone down since my last visit a year ago. It was great! Many choices, all fresh and quite tasty.

We love spice market buffet. Even though I can't hold much food at a time, I still love having the huge selection. We have always found the food to be fresh, very good quality, and temp perfect.

Aladdins Buffet (Spice Market Buffet) WAS one of the best in Vegas. We have gone there repeatedly for 5 or more years or more. When we took friends there they always loved it and wanted to go back again. Not Anymore. When we were there with friends in September it was great. We just returned from a Vegas trip and of course Spice Market was on our agenda. It was very disappointing. The same friends were with us again and they felt the same way. Food has been "downgraded". Tempura shrimp were smaller and greasy, the sole stuffed with crabmeat is now stuffed with spinach and covered with cheese, carved turkey was dry - very dry, Asparagus was cold and there wasn't a chocolate covered strawberry to be found. We mentioned our disappointment to the waitress and she brought the manager over. The manager AGREED with us and said that Planet Hollywood was already making changes and the talk was that they would probably close the buffet for a short time to remodel the inside and then feature an whole new menu. I can't understand when you buy something that is one of the "best" why you would change it...
On a positive note, we ate at Wynn's buffet and was very happy with it. You get two free buffets (Monday-Friday only) with 150 points on a new card and then another buffet for every 500 additional points. When you are getting the comped buffet use the invited guest line at the buffet.

We just ate at the Spice Market Buffet on 3/25/06 and were very satisfied as always. We thought the food selection was good, everything we ate was fresh. Not everything was out that they had last time I visited, I'm actually glad they change it up a little from time to time as far as the choices go. We were there on a busy Saturday night, the line was long and this helps ensure that the food is fresh as it turns over pretty quickly. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We will definitely go back on our trip in June!

While we eat at a few buffets each trip,(World,Main St. Station,Bally's and sometimes Sahara) and find that Bally's has different selections each trip. Lamb or Duck, different pork features as well as Italian section. Some things remain the same but there is always something new. We are planning on trying Aladin in May and will report on return.

This is my favorite LV buffet...I especially love the middle eastern section!!
This is the one restaurant I insist we go to on every trip to Vegas....
