Saw the article in Steve's newsletter about Rita Rudner leaving NYNY because they are going to put a nightclub in the theater she played in. Glad she is in negotiations to move to another venue. Saw her a while ago and look forward to seeing her again in the future.

Me thinks the problem with her type of show is once you've seen it you more than likely wouldn't return.

I agree. I enjoied the night I went years ago, but have never felt the want to see her again and I see Shows I really like over and over again.
She has (had) a real fun Show...I'd always recomment it, and she's be
around somewhere...after their little vacation.

Personally I think that good comedians are constantly updating their material and can put on an enjoyable show with fresh material if you give it a year or two. LeCage is like that,too. I've seen it four or five times over the years and its always changed. On the other hand, I enjoyed Mystere very much but could care less about seeing it again. All personal opinions, of course.

I saw Rita approx. 6 years ago in a smaller theater in NYNY. She was hysterical! I'm sure her show is just as funny today. Looking forward to seeing her in her new home after June, wherever that may be.

I saw her show about a year ago and really loved it. I might try to get back to see her again at NYNY before she closes.

Saw her last summer. Sat in the front row was one of the persons she kept kidding around with. I might go see her again in a couple of years, but there are other shows that I would repeat more often - like Legends in Concert, Gordy Brown.

Sorry, but if Rita was still pulling in the bucks, then NYNY would keep her somewhere. She may just have hit her high.

Anyone know who she will be replaced by? I have a spot in my schedule to fill when I visit Vegas in June.

It doesn't sound like she'll be replaced with anyone Matt if they're
changing her Showroom to a Nighclub...ZUMANITY might be the
only Show NYNY will have for a while.

Hi Matt. I just checked on www.a2zlasvegas.com and tickets for Rita Rudner at the NYNY in June are still available. In case this was an oversight, I tried to see about tickets for the Folies in June but it said that they were not available. It therefore looks like Rita may still be in the NYNY until at least June so you should still be able to see her during your stay.
