It is located just south of the Riviera and across the strip from the Stardust. The prices are not especially low but the portions are generally huge. It kind of has an "Old Vegas" retro feel to it, especially the lounge. We love it.

Matt Dusk (the young Crooner from the TV Series, "Casino") swears by the Peppermill. It is his favourite place to eat in Vegas. Haven't been myself yet ... maybe this year.

We've only had breakfast there, but what a meal! A great place to start the day with a bloody mary or mimosa. The omelettes are incredible! As stated earlier, not the cheapest place to eat, but very well worth it.:)

I haven't eaten there either, but DO hear about it all the time.
The main thing I keep hearing about is the size of the portions and NOT
being that big an eater...going for quality over buffet quantity...what's
the deal? Folks I know who have eaten there say it's just a glorified Dennys
with a little fireplace and the food isn't anything special...YES/NO?

Never eaten there. They would have to be really good to beat Sao Paulo on pancakes. Sao Paulo's pancakes are the best I've ever eaten. Big and fluffy. Besides for us Harrahs folks, Sao Paulo would be comped.;)

My friend said the same thing about it when we were planning on going there. I think I was taken with the atmosphere in the lounge more than the food but the service was good.

Though we haven't been there our last few trips, we've always liked the Peppermill. I guess it might be the memories of our first times out to Vegas in the mid-80's. Sure it doesn't compare to todays new high class eating establishments but comparing it to Denny's isn't a fair assessment either. With its HUGE portions ,IMO above average food and ambiance of Vegas past is one of our faves. There's nothing better than breakfast with friends at the Peppermill with the conversation starting out , Remember when.....

The Sao Paulo Cafe is at the Rio near the box office. Only open til 3:00 pm except Fri. and Sat. when I believe they're open 24 hrs. Ate breakfast here once while staying there,it was very good but not cheap (glad it was comped) I would go there again.

Had several meals at Peppermill in Dec and thoroughly enjoyed them. Had breakfast one morning around 7am and the place was empty. Service was great and had eggs benedict served on a plate the size of a turkey platter.

Several nights later enjoyed a french dip sandwich and potato salad that may have been the most lip-smakkinest' I've ever had.

When I go back hope my SO is with me so I can split an order - the portions are so huge only a linebacker could finish one.

Great food, great service and fantastic atmosphere here at the Peppermill. One of our taxi drivers told us many years ago about this restaurant. We try to visit once each trip but our list of must eat at places each visit is growing so that if we went to each we would never do anything else! The portions are huge and really good. Every one must try.

We just returned from Las Vegas and based on reviews from these boards we tried the Peppermill for breakfast. It was great! I had eggs benedict and my husband had steak and eggs. Not your usual breakfast steak, but a regular steak! The hash browns were good too. The decor is 'interesting'. We both would return! Very friendly staff. I should say that we HATE buffets so this was a great breakfast for us.

The Peppermill is one of a kind.

The service is outstanding. The food is wonderful. The prices are a little high, but, you think nothing of putting a 20 in the slot, but worry about a few dollars - give me a break.

Portions are large, so if you are wanting a nice meal, but not too famished, then plan to share.

I personally love the ambiance - nice large booth that is not within close proximity to others, dimmed lighting, but colorful.

It is a Vegas treasure.
