I didn't know whether this should be in the restaurants thread or not, but it's food so ... why not?
Where is your favourite place for snacks in Vegas (or surrounding area)?
The best cheesy nachos in the WORLD can be bought at the Hoover Dam cafe. I have booked a trip to the Hoover Dam again this year JUST to get the Nachos!!! :D

My husband and I love the little baguette shop at the Paris casino. It's just a small hole in the wall but it has great bread and it really is like the sandwiches in Europe. We always make it at least once in the wee hours of our trips.

Toscano's at Rio was the best place I thought to get burgers, fries, pizza, etc. But they have closed it, dang it. Now I don't know where to go.

I don't know if an appetizer qualifies as a snack or not, nor do I know if getting something at a full-service restaurant qualifies, but here's mine.
They have a shrimp appetizer at Bahama Breeze that is really good. I don't remember the name of it, but I believe it involves the word "Jerk". It consists of shrimp sauteed in a sauce of butter, garlic and spices and is served with crusty bread to enjoy with the sauce. I go there just for that every time I'm in LV.

Does anyone know where the nearest Quizno's is to Treasure Island? I usually stay in the Luxor and they had one in the hotel - I'm seriously addicted to the double cheese melt - Mmmmmm. I hope I don't have to walk for miles to feed my addiction this year! :o

I was just there in November and I was going to order the nachos but my husband talked me out of it! I knew I should have gotten them! I will if I ever go there again, which I probably will with my two daughters!
Thanks

It was replaced with a noodle bar and a sports kitchen. The menu for the sports kitchen is the closest to Toscano's, but it is more expensive than before and many of the really good sandwiches are gone. No desserts either.
Toscano's makes the desserts for the buffets. So if you're hungry for some of that really good sugar-free lemon pie, cheesecake, or carrot cake, you will have to go to one of the buffets to get them. Ugh!!!!

Thanks Tweeets. I forgot there was a Quizno's in the Riviera. That's where I first discovered my addiction during my first year in Vegas when I was staying at Circus Circus. I just remembered that there is also one that stands on its own just past the Bellagio (heading South) next to the helicopter place. There really should be one more center strip shouldn't there?!
Cindyinnj - you don't know what your husband made you miss! You will love them this year! Hot cheese Mmmmmmm.... I want them now! LOL :D

There's one in Excalibur, one in the Luxor and one at the airport. Actually, there are 36 shops in Las Vegas, but these are the most convenient to TI, in addition to the one in the Riviera

This is my choice also - love the bread, love the different dressings they use, love the price. What more could you ask for?

Referring back to that krispy kreme link for the "Blackjack Birthday" coupon, earlier in this thread.
I think that is only the front of the coupon. I've seen it before - the reason its called Blackjack birthday is that its a coupon for free KK and coffee on your 21st birthday.
That's why there's no expiration date. But I expired for this coupon about 30 years ago...
No free donuts for me anymore!:p

Sorry, but I think there is something seriously wrong with people who travel, especially to Vegas, and eat at National Franchise food joints.
TRUE - QUIZNO'S IS BETTER THAN MOST, BUT CAN'T YOU GET YOUR FILL OF FAST FOOD SWILL AT HOME?
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU MAKE IT A POINT TO WATCH YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOWS WHILE YOU ARE THERE, TOO.

Hyproinc----If you look at the original thread about Quizno's you will see that the people inquiring are from Glasgow, Scotland and Quizno's is not fast food swill at their home.

Okay, fine - I won't watch the Season Premiere of The Amazing Race... ;) Now, if you'll excuse me - I need to go get a DVR...

Guess I'll have to do a double session with the shrink this week as I make it a point to always go to Nathan's at the Monte Carlo on most of my Vegas trips. Must be an addiction?
I also sneak over to Burger King at O'Shea's for a late night I'M NOT SUPPOSE TO BE EATING snack.
Personally, I see nothing wrong with it.
Lord help me if they ever put a White Castle in Las Vegas !!!!!!!!!! :D

I often have a meal at Fatburger, and I also buy Krispee Kreme donuts. I don't eat junk food when I'm home; I do a lot of things when I'm on vacation that I don't do at home, Eating is one of them. ;) Also, when in Vegas for a week or so, sometime I just want to grab a quick meal and be on my way. Oh, and I've been known to watch one of my favorite TV show now and again. :)
Hyproinic, where do you eat when in Vegas, do you "dine" every evening? Curious minds want to know. :)

I really like the sweets at the PARIS. There is a great ice cream parlor and the pastries are great too. Reasonably priced. The LUXOR has a 24-hour cafe with reasonably priced meals--try the Monte Cristo.

Sorry Hyproinc but I live in the UK and we don't have Quizno's over here. That is the reason why I love it so much and not because there is anything "seriously wrong with me". I don't spend anytime watching TV either. It costs me $5,000 to get to Vegas so I'm not going to spend any time in a room watching TV at that cost!
Thanks iam4nd for helping me out here! :)

Before my recent trip to LV, I posted my favorite snack spot was Krispy Kreme at Excalibur. While I still like it, it now has a rival in the Ghiradelli ice cream and candy shop in Harrah's courtyard. Great place to stop on a warm afternoon for a treat.

Depending on what you're in the mood for:
Sirico's Pizza at NYNY
Krispy Kreme donuts at Excalibur or other places that sell them (usually near the Sports Books!)
Any Fatburger - but the one at Sunset Station seems to be the best!
(I guess I need to start my diet now - burp!)
