Is there anywhere in Las Vegas that serves risotto at a reasonable price? Ideally somewhere with at least a minimal selection? I love it but don't have the patience to prepare it :)

And, separately - anywhere that sells frozen coffee/frozen mocha drinks, along the lines of a Dunkin Donuts Coolatta? Not that I'm addicted or anything... but as far as I can tell there are no DDs in Las Vegas :(

There is a coffee place in almost every hotel and on every corner, so no problem finding that. There are scores of excellent Italian restaurants also, so I don't think you should have any problem finding risotto either. If you are staying in any of the major hotels they should have an Italian restaurant or you may just want to call around to see who has what. No real need to go off strip for this. One of my favorite Italian places is Trattoria Del Lupo in the Mandalay. Not sure if they serve a risotto dish but I have never been disappointed in anything else I had there.

Have Fun and report back where you found the best risotto!!

I'm back! And someday I'll write a trip report...

The closest drink to what I was seeking is the frozen mocha at The Coffee Bean in Sam's Town. It actually tastes like coffee.

And risotto? OMG - it's way off the Strip, but Jazzed on West Sahara has an entire menu PAGE of risottos! I have a new FAVORITE Las Vegas restaurant!

Jazzed is located at 8615 W. Sahara and participates in the restaurant.com program. The current 50% off sale, use code 33293 through 3/12, will allow you to purchase a $25 gift certificate for only $5.

About the risotto. I had really great made to order risotto at the buffet at Wynn, at dinner time. I don't know if you'd consider that a reasonable price. Of course if the 50 point for a buffet deal going on, its a bargain.

The risotto offered choices like crab, shrimp, mushrooms, carmelized onion, herbs. Yummy! We know buffet menus can change, so if risotto is your goal, you might want to check before you go in.

Vegas needs a Tim Hortons. Coffee sucks everywhere especially on the strip.

I agree V! Not only do they serve the best coffee, their doughnuts are many times better than Krispee Kremes. :)

Kaytie,

I had read your post a while ago and didn't have any suggestions. Just came back from LV and had two meals at the Wynn buffet. My friend had the risotto with truffles. I had a taste and it was delicious. It took a while to prepare, though, as it is cooked to order.

Hope you enjoy.
