View Full Version : November Rates
Hi everyone - this is my first posting on this forum!!!
My husband and I are making our annual trek to Vegas from Australia and we have noticed the rates are unusually high for the first of our chosen weeks. We are staying from 15-23 November and the first week is quite high - does anyone know why? I believe Comdex was scheduled for this week but it's not going ahead????
We are looking at staying at the Paris this trip and want to know if it's best to book now or wait a while longer to see if the rates drop??? We usually stay at an MGM Mirage hotel as we are slot club members, but they are very unhelpful and will not answer our messages as to rates for some reason (maybe we are not high enough rollers :) ).
The second week is not a concern as rates are sub-$100 which is awesome! As our trip is less than two months away - yay - we are keen to book ASAP as we have noticed on some sites some properties are selling out during this first week?
I very much look foward to your response/s :)
Thanks again!

You can get a room at the Gold Coast or Orleans for $50/night (weekdays) if you don't mind staying off the Strip.

There is an airshow at Nevis Airorce base which could be affecting prices that week.travelocity.com has gold coast for 42.50 for Nov. 14 - 15- 16 and the gold coast will honor this price when you call the reservation desk direct. I stayed there March 2004 and the Gold Coast had several good points. There is a free shuttle service between the Gold coast and the Barbary Coast on the strip. The buffet is very reasonably priced and pretty tasty too! I think breakfast buffet was around $6 and it includes made to order omlettes. Also the hotel is right next to the Rio and The Palms so there is some choice if you like to gamble "close to home" late at night.
Sahara had prices at $38/night during that time frame but I chose the coast when I considered the pluses that I listed. I will be there Nov 13-17. Hope this helps!

I am going from Nov 1 to 10. The first week Nov 1 to 5 has several large conventions  . So its to Laughlin and Primm for a few days.

Will also add a plus for Gold Coast. Stayed there last spring and have reservations for Nov 15 to 21st there. Really liked the hotel and casino. The casino isnt large but has a nice sports book (which I enjoy) and the buffet was pretty good. If you check there web site they have a Sun- Thur deal for any two nights for $89 plus 4 buffets and a coupon book .Its called the "Mustang Mike Pkg" we booked that plus then booked there regualar rates for the rest of the time. I think the Thur was $45 and the Fri and Sat at $99 and the Sun was $40.
The shuttle is a plus, never had to wait more than a few minutes for it. It runs from 9 am to midnight. And if you miss the last shuttle the cab ride isnt very expensive because its not that far off the strip.
Have fun planning your trip.

Were going the middle of November, and getting Terribles for $40/night. From what I've found, most of the downtown hotels are about the same price, but they are filling up fast.

Emma,
The Automotive Aftermarket Show and Speciality Automotive Parts are in town the week of Nov1-4. They are expecting up to 130,000 attendees. My hubby will be going, and of course I'll be coming out with him. We were able to get a room at the Tropicanna tues-thur nights at 99.00 and Friday night at 200.00. I made our reservations in early July. The rates now for the same room is 200.00 a night with Friday being 250.00. The World Championship Bull Riding compitition is in town that week as well. I'm not sure about what is going on during your stay. You can go to www.lasvegasadvisor.com They have a wealth of information on what's going on. That's where I found out about this site.
Good luck! :)
