I'm taking my girlfriend to LV for the first time. Do any of you have suggestions for a romantic dinner? I'm looking at food quality, service and price. How is the Eiffel Tower Restaurant? I'm no cheapskate, but I'd like it to be reasonable priced. Thanks in advance for the advice.

The word "ROMANTIC" is what we're looking for here...mmm the ones I like are pretty costly. Michael's in Barbary Coast (my personal favorite), Top of the Stratosphere Rest., and Eiffel Tower Rest. All three of these restaurants are very romantic. Other restaurants are just that, restaurants, but these three have the ambiance and romantic feel about them. Just right for a quiet night with your mate. I'm sure other members will have a romantic rest. suggestion that's not as costly as these three. :)

Prime at Bellagio. There is a corner table that oozes romance. Also, make sure you request reservations for patio seating after your meal. Nothing like having an after dinner drink overlooking the fountains.

The Eiffel Tower restaurant would be very romantic, but expect to pay about $100.00+ per person depending on how many cocktails or how much wine you order. When you make your reservations, ask for a table by the window overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Most of the window tables are two-tops which would be perfect. They won't guarantee a window table, but they'll try.

I highly recommend the Top of the World at the Strat. Very romantic - views your date will never forget. The Voodoo Cafe/Lounge at the Rio also has fabulous views and wonderful entrees. While there are many excellent food choices in Vegas, something about being 55 floors up with tremendous views is super romantic!

Hard to beat the Top Of The World at the Strat for the overall experience....and the food is very good.
Book a reservation timed to have you seated just about at sunset. The revolving restaurant offers Magnificient view of the whole valley including the Strip as the darkness descends and the lights take over.
Be prepared to spend a few bucks, though. Entrees up to about $45 - $50 with everything ala carte. By choosing less expensive entrees and being careful about the extras and drinks, you can get out for under $150 total including tip but you could also very easily drop $100 per person or more.
Hey - YOU'LL PROBABLY ONLY DO IT ONCE, SO GO FOR IT. Put into perspective considering the entire trip, it is probably no big deal. Could be well worth it if you really want to make an impression.

It would help if we knew where you were staying.
I have mentioned in Trip Reports that Embers at the Imperial Palace is very romantic and prices are VERY reasonable.
Any restaurant at Wynn should be very romantic and it will surely prove you are not a cheapskate. :)

Actually, I'm staying off-strip at Terribles. I know, you're all laughing, but I like it there. I'll have a car, so location isn't a real issue. Mainly I would like to try something that is nice and romantic without going over $100 for the both of us (drinks not included).
I have heard of a restaurant at the Plaza, overlooking the Freemont Street Experience. Anyone have any comments on that?
Thanks.

There has been mostly posstive and a few not so possitive comments about the Center Stage restaurant. You can do a search using "Center Stage" and it will bring up all posts about it.

I'll second Steve's remarks about Embers in the IP. Good food, romantic setting, decent prices. I would also suggest Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens downtown. Dumpy hotel, NICE restaurant. Every lady is given a rose when she enters...a nice touch. The food is excellent and the prices are on par with most other "gourmet" joints.

I was just looking at the website for The Melting Pot. I think that would be a reasonably priced evening and how romantic! My husband and I love fondue because it is an intimate way to eat. You share from the pot, you're close together, conversations are much easier. It's worth a try, don't you think? And, it seems to be close to your price range. Check out the web site:

Regardless of where you decide to go, you can make it as romantic as you want it to be. Don't let a dining room be a restraint.
Enjoy!

Some of the Italian restaurants in the hotels offer intimate dining at reasonable prices. We've had a few anniversary dinners at the Italian Ristorante in the Riviera and found the food to be quite good, the service excellent, prices quite reasonable, and we were seated in very intimate semi-circular booths. I know at first thought it may not sound like the best place but we've found it to be very nice. Check it out on the Riviera website.

How about this for a completly different idea. My wife thought it was very nice. Drive up to Green Valley Ranch just before sun set, park car on the roof of the car park. Go into the casino and purchase food from there food court area. Take back to car and see the sun set over the strip casinos. See the changing of the sun over the valley:p
That way it will keep it with your less than $100 bucks.
For romanic, be different.

I have eaten at and reviewed this restaurant many times. It really is a great place to eat. The Matre' D's name is David and he knows me and the newsletter. Just mention them to him when he seats you.

Here is a review I wrote..note prices are probably not current
Restaurant Italiano at The Riviera. (Steve speaking)
Tucked away in the back of the Riviera is a wonderful Italian restaurant simply called Restaurant Italiano. It is among the top 5 Italian restaurants in Las Vegas. Host David Gross at your beckon call and will go out of his way to see that your meal is a pleasant experience. The think I like best about this place is that David is constantly changing the menu and experimenting with new and innovative foods. The service is attentive and prompt. The food speaks for itself......excellent! (Eileen speaking) I decided to go a little different here and had the ravioli which was wonderful. I also had the spinach salad with warm dressing, which they prepare at your table. Excellent!
Here is just a small sample of their extensive menu:
Mozzarella con Pomodoro e Basilico $10.95
