I think we should plan far enough ahead so everyone can keep the date free. Should we wait until there's no chance of snow? (Not that snow has been a problem this winter.)

We're equal distance between the CT casinos (personally I prefer Mohegan, but I'm flexible) and AC, so either is fine for us.

Please post any ideas of time and place and let's see if we can do this!

Early May is a nice time of the year in New England and would throw out that as a suggestion.

Joyce and I have already made plans to be at Foxwoods for their Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 6th, 2006 so I will throw out that date to start the discussion.

Foxwoods has an event at their Race Book as well as a huge ball room set up for the Kentucky Derby so maybe if others are interested in that, it would work as a potention east coast meet date.

I would have liked to go to either AC or CT. But May 6th Steve is going to his nephew's barmitzvah and the following weekend is my daughter's Sweet 16. :( Oh well, let us know how it goes!!

There are several bars at Foxwoods but the Hard Rock is pretty large with a lot of obvious signs so it should be easy to locate for those that are not familiar with the casino and facility.

Wow this sounds like fun! Its a little early for me to know my schedule. But as far as recognizing everyone

I suggest taking a head count here on the board about mid April. Then call the hard rock and ask for a few reserved tables, under whatever name - Everything Las Vegas group? Then all we have to do is ask for the ELV table!

Its either that or everybody wears a ribbon of a specific color...

If I get involved in one more thing, I will have to ask if there is a divorce lawyer amongst my members :)

Eileen is wonderful about the time I spend doing Las Vegas stuff. But this is something to consider for future endeavors.

Two things: First, isn't there ANY way his nephew's family can reschedule, never mind that they've probably had the arrangements made two years ago? No? Okay, fine. I would love to do an East Coast meet at the Sun or Foxwoods...first week of May this year I will be in Vegas and bringing a couple of newbies with me, so I'll have to skip this one. If another one is in the works in the future I would enjoy attending. I'm about 70 miles away from Mohegan Sun.

I work every other weekend, so if we change to the next weekend, I'll have to come up after work. Not a problem, but the sooner I know the date, the better.

Unfortunately, I probably can't attend even though I'm only 1 hour and 15 minutes away. However, if I can make a suggestion.....to those that have not been to Foxwoods or Mohegan before, you may want to try to squeeze some time to see Mohegan. It's only 15 minutes from Foxwoods, and IMHO it's much prettier. Mohegan has 2 casinos that are connected by a nice mall. Since you're all going to be in the area, why not? Just make sure you get to see the Sky casino....some people go there and don't even realize there's a whole 'nother casino.

Even tho I live on the East coast, I won't be able to meet. Foxwoods is about 8 hour drive for me..:eek: I'd be too tired for a meeting after that drive:mad:
