I just read up on another restaurant, Crab Corner. Pretty decent reviews on yelp. It's located near Flamingo & Eastern. It's fresh seafood flown in from East Coast.

Has anyone tried it? It's not supposed to be a gourmet place....they put brown paper on your table so you can hammer away at the crabs.

Wanting to know people's opinion.

Frank (Westie), where are you?

I think it's over there on the SW corner by Marianna's Market.

Havent been in there -- but, it looks to be very brightly lit. Guess they dont want a flying shell to hit someone in the eye, lol.

Do you pay flat rate & get all you can eat? Or? I dont do crab, so not my kind of thing.

Not a flat rate. It's not a buffet. It's moderately priced.

I keep seeing the signs, but I haven't seen IT yet. I bet it's giving red Lobster some competition, if it's any good. I'll have to put it on my list of things to do, then find it. Is it in the plaza, or is it a stand alone building?

I loved soft shell crab when I worked in Baltimore, so this may be a new fav for me. Thanks for reminding me of it Doris!

Here is the SW corner of EASTERN & FLAMINGO.

Look at the center-bottom portion of the image & you'll see the tip of the L-Shaped strip mall.

I was over at Red Lobster tonight (same strip mall) and after dinner around 5:30 and went to check this Crab Corner out. Every table was full, but one. Everyone was hitting Whole crabs and picking out the meat and then tossing the leftovers into a bucket on the table with the brown paper as a plate. Quite a sight to see, specials this week on Wed and Thursday. The blue point crabs for a dozen are $35.00 to $85.00 depending on the size of the crabs. There are other types of crabs that are less. They open around 11 am to 9 pm. I have been going by this place many times and there is always someone in there. DH is not a crab eater, I think I might try this place. Not sure about these websites, but they are on the takeout menu.

They have more than just crabs so perhaps DH can find something else to eat. They have shrimp, oysters, clam, even chicken fingers.
