Hello all ! The first week of March of 2011 will be my 2nd Vegas trip !!

I was first down there last summer.... although I was there for 3 days, as you can imagine, I didn't have time to go through every casino and also have time for hours of gaming....

I mostly played at Bills, Harrahs, Ballys, and Flamingo.... since my favorite game is video keno, I only saw machines that were 25 cents. I sometimes like to play on machines that have 5 cent keno, but didn't see any in the casinos I list above.

Does anyone know where the nickle keno machines might be located?

Thanks a bunch !

Mike

Last time i checked... PALACE STATION has em. But, that was a couple months ago.

Golden Gate (DT) has some good selections... even at the 1-cent level. The option to play up to (if memory serves) 20 cards is on some machines.

Thanks Matthew,

Now since I don't know my way around Vegas that good yet... Are Golden Gate and Palace Station on the strip or downtown?

Golden Gate is on Fremont downtown and Palace Station is West of the strip about 1 mile from Sahara I believe.

I've seen 5 cent keno downtown at a couple of places, but don't remember seeing it on The Strip... other than "20 Card Keno".

I've seen "20 Card Keno" at a few MGM places - it goes as low at nickles and you can play just one card for 5 cents a play.

The Imperial Palace and Casino Royale have 5 cent keno. You may have to go up to the machines to check the denominations. Some times it looks like they are only 25 cent machines when they are multi denominations.

If you visit the downtown area, you will find 5 cent keno at Main Street and in the upstairs of California (near the sports bar).

Many other places offered multi-denomination keno. I believe that Terribles had it and outlying places like Sam's Town, Orleans, etc. Even Red Rock. Don't know how many you play, but I only play on one quarter, and do pretty well with that, so if you are used to playing max on the nickle machines, take a chance on one quarter.

so if you are used to playing max on the nickle machines, take a chance on one quarter.

Usually when you go up in denomination the pay tables usually get better so a 25c machine should pay a little better than a 5c machine... and since the payouts are just straight multiples of your amount wagered it would usually be better to play a 25 cent machine with 1 credit bet than a 5 cent machine on 5 credits bet.

And a good reason to check:
At my local casino they have a bank of Game King machines - multi-denominational at either 25 cents or $1. On the KENO tab they have "Cleopatra Keno" and on these machines the pay table for 25 cents is actually better than the pay table for $1

Sam's Town has a lot of nickel keno machines. Harrah's offers a free shuttle out to Sam's Town which makes it easy to visit this off-strip casino.
