Bevertainers at Rio? Pro or Con

We have a group that travels to LV and stays at the Rio approximately 3 times a year and NONE of us can stand the Bevertainers. We noticed on our last trip that they have cut down on the so-called shows, but we're surprised that they are still there, considering that everyone we talk to while at the hotel find them a loud, repetitive and a terrible distraction. I need to know what others think because it seems so one-sided against, but they are still there! :confused:

I for one agree with yanxfan. Although some are talented, the remainder are made up of lipsynchers. They are loud and distracting. I thought that the Rio Rita entourage was more entertaining than the Bevertainers.

I try to ignore them as much as possible. I'm still pissed about getting rid
of the Ipanima Servers...I lost so many good friends when those PROFESSIONAL servers were let go.

Marilyn Winn heads up the RIO now. When the Ipanima Bar was going
under the re-modeling I had emailed her (complaining about the Bevertainment)
I thought it would be a great idea when the NEW Ipanima Bar opened,
to bring back the FAMOUS IPANIMA COCKTAIL SERVERS too!

She agreed BEVERTAINMENT hasn't really worked out the way they had
hoped, but they were under a 3 year contract and wouldn't be going away right now.
Their contrack should be coming up I would think......sure hope they
don't come back!

Wow, that's great to know. Sure hope you're right. If I hear "ALL THAT JAZZ" one more time, I think I'll vomit!

[COLOR=Teal]i agree with yanxfan! the bevertainers are such a distraction and while they are busy flipping bottles all over the floor, the customer is sitting there with an empty glass!! and speaking of distractions, those lip synxers are another source of aggrivation!!

if they want to entertain the people while they are playing, bring back the parade with rio rita! that was a fun thing and it was over in a minute!

many times falls of deaf ears.

Who cares. We ignore them. Sometimes my husband stands around and watches some of the ones who are pretty good, but I could care less one way of the other. Just give me a drink when I want it.

I HAVE e-mailed them on a few occasions and they have said that the jury is still out on them. I guess we'll see what happens when their contract is up.
