I know he puts on a great show and I want to see him. We will be in LV in April for my birthday and I want to go to a Saturday night 10:00 pm show. My question is: are the seats in the balcony any good? I really want to sit on the floor about row H, but the tickets are a little too expensive for my blood.

Barry's ticket prices are real high...REAL HIGH for a guy who writes the
songs the whole world doesn't sing any more except for his FANILOWS.
I went last year...HAD GREAT BALCONY SEATS, and was very entertained.

His Show sells out. I hadn't been to a concert in a long time where his
fans totally dominated the evening...FANILOWS EVERY WHERE! ALL AGES!
His orchestra is great. He breaks the night up with a couple simple 'set'
changes...most of the time, he's singing out front, orchestra in back.

Here's the deal on THE BALCONY. The price is much better. Remember,
the LVHilton hasn't changed much from the day ELVIS worked it and it's old.
The balcony seats are very steep with older-small seats and not much
leg room. The view and sound is as good or BETTER than on the floor.

Looking down on the stage, you don't have any heads in front of you to
spoil your view and aside from being up high, you're about mid-room.
I was in Section 7, Row D, Seat 19....$99.50

THE VERY COOL SURPRISE IS, YOU'VE GOT THE BEST SEATS FOR THE FINALLY!!! All those folks on the floor are going to wish they had your seats.
You won't have to TURN AROUND. You won't have to LOOK UP.
MUSIC AND PASSION, MUSIC AND PASSION, MUSIC AND PASSION!
........................................i can say no more.

We sat in the 2nd row of the balcony, and the location was great as far as seeing and hearing the show. The leg room is VERY tight. It was a great show - we really enjoyed it!

My friends went in August and sat close to the stage. They said it was awesome well worth the money.

Haven't bought my tickets yet, but I am wondering about the seats on Row BA in the balcony. Is there an obstruction with a cross bar or anything to block your view and is the leg room better? Would seats on the end in BA 1 & 2 be good?

...I don't remember, but most 'first row balcony' seats have a safty rail.
Wouldn't want any FANILOWS throwing themselfs off into Barry's arms
now would you?
I take 2,3,4.

Now here is a different view. My wife is a Fanilow from the git go. She just loves his music. Not I. However last year we flew out on frequent flyer miles that we had built up over the years. So I took that savings and treated firstwife to "stage seats" @ $250.00 per (ouch) She was in heaven and the look on her face was a joy for me. She really and I mean really enjoyed this show and got to kiss him. I must admit the place was alive and the show was very energetic. I agree that the upper seats are probably better for the finale.
2 nights later we went to see Gordie Brown and for me this was a better show. However for firstwife stage seats for Barry Manilow was about as good as it gets.

Well I'm glad you guys had a good time at Barry's Show...
I liked Gordies's too.
Tell me 'tryon4', when you say the 'stage seats', you mean the
ones Left or Right up on stage level?
What did you think of the view from there? Could you see everything OK?
Some folks have said you can't see everything because you're so far on
the side....what about the sound?

I'd love to see Barry, but alas...I'm not coming to LV til November! Does anybody know if Barry will still be there? If he is, I'm definately getting the balcony seats..

Thanks Greg for the input!

If there isn't anything on the LVHilton's Entertainment website, call 'em
1.800.732.7117. Also, ask what's the earliest you can call back to book
your tickets.

We were on the right side, front and end. I can only say that they were fine. We saw the entire show. Maybe you might say that when he was on the left side the view was not as great as when he performed on your side but they were still fine. He did the nightclub scene directly in front of us as well as interviewing a lady.
One drawback had nothing to do with the show though. When we entered the theater the ticket taker tore our tickets, looked at the stub and said "Must be nice to be rich"! Hell that was 5+ years of frequent flyer miles.

I am a card carrying BMIFC member and i go to vegas just to see barry and to go to his conventions. yes we are crazy about the man and the show, i am sorry if you feel his fans(we dont like to be called fanilows)give him too many standing ovations and that you dont 'get' his newer music but we love it,. i guess as the late Ricky Nelson sang 'you can't please everyone'. i will warn you that the next convention is in Aug. so if you dont want to hear us loving the man then don't go.
gordie is also a great entertainer and a must see ..
so Greg i am sorry if you don't 'GET' Manilow ..... we do :)

Hmmmm, interesting little post.
'josney54' I must admit you have me quite confused. I had a great
time at Barry's Show, money well spent, very entertaining evening.
I saved my lite-stick, bought a program and other stuff to send to
a hard core friend of mine in NYNY....she's also the one I learned the
term FANILOW. She and her group of Barry fans take pride in the term
and ware it well...sorry if you missed something in my comments.

Cindy,

On the Hilton website they list the schedule of shows for the rest of the year, and it looks like you can order them now.

We thought it was great!!

If you can view the seating charts for these Shows before you buy...
most of the time...you'll get better seats by talking to the Boxoffice as
aposed to using their websites.
