Need Your Input:
I am thinking about starting a "Question Of The Week" forum.
The question could be about anything that is Las Vegas related but not directly related to the regular Forums if it can be worded that way.
Ex:
What is your opinion of Harrah's almost having a casino monopoly in Las Vegas?
or:
Why would a hotel be imploded rather than renovated.
or
If you like a particular restaurant more than any other restaurant in Las Vegas, what are the reasons.
I would be happy to have the questions emailed directly to me as I will be the only one that will be posting them. Anyone can answer.
What do you think?

Do you mean like an off topic section but Vegas driven?

If the available choices don't cover any certain topic, add a MISC or
OFF TOPIC. I don't think a weekly topic would get enough action to
make it worth YOUR TIME...I also don't think one week is long enough
to generate enough replies/back and forth, to make it fun.
Who would come up with the QUESTION?...you or us

Don't really see the point. Most things that we want to know we post in a thread anyway. But, you can give it go and let's see how it works.

I think that could be good, but have another thought. Since question of the week might be limited, since there may be other places to post those questions, how about "Topic Of The Week"? This could be anything and not necesarily a question. We could have fun with this.

I hesitate to say this <g>, but I agree with Greg. It just doesn't sound like there would be all that much interest.

This has promise even for those of us who travel to Vegas almost exclusively.
Questions can be of general knowledge, What is the best place to get a pizza? or more specific Can anybody tell me about Greenbergs Deli in NYNY?
And if it doesn't fly you can cancel the topic after all you have the power.

I didn't want an OFF-Topic Forum as it will prompt questions not pertaining to Las Vegas.
Also the Las Vegas Advisor does this on a DAILY basis so I think one question per week will allow enough members to respond. Also, the question would stay posted for more than one week.
I did think this might take away from the Members Need Help Forum which was why I wanted the questions to be "different." I did like the descriptions of "General Knowledge." and "Topic Of The Week."
To answer Greg's question, I did say I would like questions emailed to me to be posted at the Forum as I want the members to come up with the questions.
I will wait for a few more posts to make a decision.
Thanks for your input.

I like a "Topic of the Week" forum. That would be interesting to me, but I'm curious who'll come up with the actual topic?

I have stated that if and when we try this Forum, the questions or topics will come from the members.

I've said before I'd like an off-topic section we're all adults here and respect others opinions without name-calling

:o How did i get stuck with low roller, how do i change it
The "Low Roller" status is determined by the number of posts you have made. After a certain amount of posts, you will move up to the bigtime!
There is a thread discussing the terms that are used and some members felt LOW ROLLER was not a suitable term.

You are only a low roller here because of the number of posts you've made. I think when you hit 30 (?) you become a high roller?
Believe me, this forum is the ONLY place where "I" could be considered a high roller!
