on the LV advisor's top ten, there's a deal that says if you sign up for the club card at the wynn and put 50 pts on it, you get 2 buffets comped. it said 50 pts equalled about 1 hr. at the quarter slots.

has anyone done this or know any more information. it sounds like a good deal, but it seems like the slots are pretty tight there.

on Dec 15. Hubby and I signed up, both used the same card and got 50 pts playing penny and nickle slots in about 3o minutes. Son and I did the buffet (must use the free buffet the same day or next day after the points are made, can not carry it over to another time). It was very good, liked the set up, food was great but still not something I'd want to pay $17 ?? or so for lunch.

thanks smmoo

i'm staying in vegas this weekend, which just happens to be the CES convention weekend. do you get a line pass as well? it's worth losing the whole $150 just for that!

Here is something from the Las Vegas Advisor about this special:

Sorry about this one, but the player's club new-member sign-up deal at Wynn that's currently in our Top Ten Values has been altered. Formerly requiring that you earn only 50 points to receive two comped buffets, the requirement is now 500 points. When researching this for the January LVA, we were told that the deal would last through the end of January, so it's possible that it will return after the holiday.

I was in Wynn on Thursday Jan 5/06 and got the card and the information. It was valid then. I played for awhile with total loss of only $19.75 and got the 2 supper buffets. We went that evening. Normal price is $31.95 plus tax for each person so with tax close to $70 for 2.

It is good and varied but a bit unusual for a buffet.

They said if you played for another 450 points you got another buffet for 2 plus $10 in free play.

Maybe we ate them out of house and home and they discontinued it. Who knows?

Just got back and stopped at the Wynn and recieved the same deal but I was lucky enough to win $50.00 doing it. The buffet was OK but I sure was glad it was free. It is the best deal in vegas and every one should try it. You get a point for every $3 in on slots and a point for every $9 in on video pocker. The bingo game on there slots is another good deal. The place was busy and there were cocktail waitres always there to serve. Looking forward to next trip. Free airfair and 3 nights at the Wynn won by my wife in a drawing. I better be good or she said she wouldn't take me.

i didn't try it, because i thought the special was cancelled. i did the harrah's buffet, which was pretty good. the weekend champagne brunch is only $14 if you're a slot card member and you get one of the coupons out front in the carnival court.
