Mini-meet tentative date Aug 9th!

It seems a few of us are going to be out around the same time...at least two of us members Aug 8-12th...

It has been proposed to have a mini meet-up on August 9th...

All interested lets start up a chat, about who-what-where...

Me and dad are always happy with late afternoon drinks...but am open to any suggestions.....

We'll be stationed out of Venetian..

Locals, you know who you are...please take some time to meet us out-of towners, esp those of us who couldnt see you all at the big meet.

I will be available on the 9th!...sounds great to me...set the time and place and I will be there....my day is scheduled for a cabana at Ceasars..so late afternoon or early evening is GREAT!. :)

We have tix for Human Nature at IP for 730p that day...

thinking drinks around 4:00 or so? Maybe take advantage of the Palm Happy hour specials if they are still running...but we are surely open for any other suggestions...i think there are lots of "happy hour" food specials around, I have read a few at venetian/pallazzo...

we have 2 weeks to hash this out..!!

Since you have tickets at the IP..how about keeping it more central..not sure where the specials are in the area...but I wouldn't be opposed to Venetian or Harrah's or Ceasars or even the IP...just a thought...

The Palm Restaurant (not the Palms Hotel) IS at Ceasars...i could see the confusion there...sorry bout that...

lets look into who has a better happy hour...maybe someone here could chime in...

The Seahorse lounge at Caesar's has worked well for us in the past. It's very close to the sports book. It is a very comfortable lounge atmosphere with good waitresses and good drinks. The drinks are a little pricey however.

I have also had meet-ups at Breeze Bar at TI (does it still exist) as well as the VP bar at the sports book in Bellagio...

there must be somewhere with Happy hour drink specials, no? or others with Happy Hour food specials that are good?? (other than the Palm, which may or may not be worth it)...if anyone is interested in eating that is...

Someone said they're at the Venetian. It's slightly north of mid-strip, but, not too bad. The food court there often has a lot of open seats.

The bar @ the BELLAGIO Sports Book sounds cool... but, are there tables/chairs/etc avail? Or, is it (i'm trying to remember) just one big L-shaped bar?

Myself, i'm open to most anything.

Is everyone still thinking of the 4:30pm time slot?

Verified...summer time its Monday-Friday, they dont do monday's in the fall so they dont cross with "big games" such as Monday nite football...per the girl at the front desk at Lagasse's...

It's now TUES Aug 10... the meet took place yesterday afternoon. Went really well. In attendance:

Nice conversation... the two hours just flew by. We did some appetizers that were pretty great & pitcher of 'ritas.

Great to finally meet you Scott, as well as your dad!! This "Lagasse's Stadium" is pretty cool. It was bigger than i thought it'd be. There's a multitude of seating/lounging options, lol.

Mark, always a pleasure. Nice to see you again, Suzanne!!! (love the Sahara stories) :)

Doris, glad you could make... sorry Bill couldnt tag along. zMarlene, talk to you soon!!

Anyhow, just before we left Fenway got a busboy to snap a group photo.
