I'm wondering if anyone ever just picks up tickets when they get to Vegas instead of ordering them ahead. Not sure when or what we want to see and have thought of just getting them when we get there. I'm talking about shows like Celine Dion, Mystere, O, and such. We are going mid-March. What are the chances we could just pick up tickets when we get there? Thanks everyone so much for all the help.

I would think Celine is on sale now. Mystere and O should be 120 days
before the night YOU want to see it. I'd call all Boxoffices and ask which
is the first day you can book your tickets....they'll tell you per the computer,
don't count backwords 120 on you calendar...it's not the same.
First Mez 4 is you best bang for your buck for Celine unless you want the
Rear or Front Orchestra for the big bucks.
Mystere, Section 203, Rows AA BB CC DD EE
'O'...I prefer 2nd or 3d Row Balcony.
......WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THERE......YOU WON'T SEE ANY OF THEM.
Caesars: 1.800.634.6661
't.i.': 1.800.944.7444
Bellagio: 1.888.987.7111
I book all my Shows well in advance, do disappointments, great seats.
Pick 'em up from the 'WILL CALL' and hour or so before showtime. NO WEB BOOKINGS.

Chances are slim for Celine but you might just get lucky. They do have a no-show line for unclaimed tickets.
As far as the other shows go, you might be able to get tickets to them. I still would suggest buying them ahead if you really want to see the shows.

I really beleive in waiting til you get there for a couple of reasons. Often if you order earl they block tickets ffor the high rollers and they turn them in a couple of days before. You also save the handing charges which since there was four of us was like $20 not a huge sum but you can spend the $20 towards better seats. This worked for us with BMG for instance. I do recomend going the night you get to LV and buy them for the night you want to go. In our case we had a couple of nights we could go, they had better seats for one of the nights so we got great seats, no handling charges, and best of all you don't run the risk of totally eating them if you don't make it to LV for some reason. I also believe that it gives you a chance to see where the theatre is when you come back, you never know you might be late and it helps to check the terrain. One other thing I did was to check online right before I went, could tell that there were plenty of seats left for when I was going, you might check with the box office, helps you get a feel for how busy it is, they will also check for you to see if one of the nights has better seats...

Thanks everyone, this gives us different things to consider---all good advice. That is what makes this site so great. Happiest of Holidays!

Happy Holidays
Can not remember what trip it was but Joyce and I wanted to go see Danny Gans. We (actually I) did not buy the tickets on line in time and the shows were sold out for our stay. However, we went over to the Mirage and found out that they do have a Day of Show line. So we went over to a bar around the corner from the box office to enjoy a beverage and every few 15 or so minutes, I would go over to the box office to see if the line had yet formed. When it had, I stood in line (actually met a nice fellow from Rhode Island so we had a long conversation while waiting). At the designated time, they came out and took our name and gave us a number and told us to come back at another designated time. We had supper and came back and picked up really good seats and then really enjoyed the show. For these large shows, they block off seats for the casino hosts to give to the high rollers. If the seats are still there prior to the show, they release them to the public. So if you are not sure what your plans are so you do not want to purchase in advance and are willing to invest the wait time that would be required, you may pick up pretty good seats the day of the show - there is a risk and there is a time commitment but it can be done. Good Luck

I have bought tickets several different ways. On line, billhere, etc. Seems the way that works best for me is to call the 800 number of the box office and buy them a few weeks early. Have always gotten better seats that way.Only bad thing about that is that you have to show up about 1 to 2 hours early to pick up your tickets.

I have never picked up my 'Will Call' tickets any earlier than 1hr before
Showtime...Pick up the ticket, play a round of VP, head into the Show.
Listen to 'sonntex'...98% of the time you'll find better seats and service by
calling the Boxoffice direct. Do your homework, check out the seating chart
from the properties 'Entertainment' section and know where you want to sit.
Call the Boxoffice early...mid, late afternoon, they get busy and don't have
the time to give you full attention. REMEMBER, many of the "A" Shows go on sale 90, 120 days before the night YOU want to see it. If you know the Section you want to sit in, call well in advance......
and ask when the FIRST DAY YOUR TICKETS GO ON SALE and call back on that day.
You'll get exactly the seats you want, pick 'em up at WILL CALL an hour before the
Show, no disappointments.
