New Theatres are kind of like new cars...sharp, clean, great seats and
...that new Showroom smell, awwwwwwwwww. Too bad it wasn't enough
to make you feel like you were seeing a new BLUE MAN GROUP Show.

I liked BMG's new Venetian home more than the LUXOR. The seating is
layed out better and it feels more intamate.
There are front row Poncho Seats to the far Left and Right I wouldn't spend money on...their views must be terrible, avoid them when booking.
I've sat in the Poncho Seats before and never would again...it's a novelty and you really don't see the Show very well...they're just too close.

The Dancing Sculptures, Left and Right of the stage made the move, as
did most of the old Show. There ARE a few new short routines...the main
'new look' are the lighting and sound changes...THEY'RE GREAT.
Different levels of scafolding have been added to the back and the band
moves around alot. Some new PVC instruments have been created but it's
the new hot, bright, colorful lighting that delivered the 'new look' for me...
...the rest of the Show is pretty much the same.
I had Section 2, Row J........a few rows in back of the 4-5-? rows of
front Poncho Seats.
All your favorite surprises are there if you've seen BLUE MAN GROUP before...if you haven't caught the Show yet, I can say no more.

I DIDN'T GET TO SEE AVENUE 'Q'....time change I wasn't informed of.
A month and a half ago when I bought my tickets there were two Shows.
I chose the earlier 6:30....went to and early dinner with a friend and got
to the Thearte about 5:30........NO BODY HOME!
Due to the low turnout, they'd changed to just one Show a night at 8PM.
I recieved NO LETTER, PHONE CALL, or EMAIL advising me of the time
change and my guest didn't want to wait two hours until the Show...I wasn't in much of a mood to stick around either, so I got my money back.

In the ave Q theater there was a good view from every direction, No need to pay up for a front row seat. Problem was the actual seats. As a movie theater usher in my youth I will tell you this was 1955 to 1970 home town movie theater seats. OK it was fancy and had a cup holder on the arm rest. These seats made economy class air line seats look and feel big. At 5'10" 210 pounds I could not cross my legs, my shoulders were wider than the seat backs. Looks like Wynn got cheap on the seating. At $99.00 a ticket I would not go back just on the seats alone.

Thanks Terry. IF I wanna try again in March...IF it's still there, I WILL NOT go for the 4th row again. I've also heard the stage level is high enough, sitting down front gets tiring looking up all night. I'll go with midroomish to back.
Seats aside...did you like it? How full was the Theatre?
