On my first visit to Ellis Island casino this past August, I thought their sirloin steak special was the best thing in Las Vegas for the price. The only exception was that their green beans didn't look too good (but tasted fine), but I cut them a lot of slack on this because it was 10AM. So, I went back again last week. The beans were good, but they WAY overcooked my steak. I just ate it anyway. But after thinking about it, I believe the waiter mixed up my steak with another group because he brought all of the plates out at the same time. No matter. I'll be back again and again, because it was very good the first time and I'm sure it will be better the next time.
The funny part is that it was Karaoke night (maybe it's always Karaoke night). The dinning room is right next to the bar, so the diners get entertained while eating, whether they like it or not. The first 2 singers were fine. But then there were a string of singers that made it difficult to keep my dinner down. I kept looking at the staff and everyone else in the dinning room and nobody seemed to be bothered by it. I think the staff is just used to the bad singing and everyone else just ignored it all. I like it when there are bad Karaoke singers so that anyone and everyone can participate.
So, I recommend the Ellis Island sirloin steak special, but you might want to eat early to avoid the eardrum breaking entertainment.
