My wife and I generally play the 3 reelers. Double Diamond and the like. We haven't gotten into the video ones too much because we don't feel comfortable with them. What I mean is I have played Texas T which is a 9 line, 5 coin machine, and they just explode from there. (15 line, 27 line). Anyhow, what would be a good machine to try on our next Vegas visit? Do we play Full coin?

My husband and I love the video slots but we have both been computer geeks before anyone knew what a computer was. My mother has been the one who just can't get used to them so a couple of weeks ago I figured out what the real problem is. With the three reelers you get used to watching for the wins. You really can't do that for all the payoffs on the video slots but you can train your eyes to watch for the big payoffs. The videos also have sounds for a lot of their special wins like scatter pays and the bonus rounds. You soon learn to not watch for them but use your hearing for that part of the game. It sounds complicated but it really starts to roll once you get used to them. I would start with a simple one and not bet max coins just to train yourself. Play several of them or watch others, Just remember that you are not going to be able to spot every win right off the bat but who cares? The machine will always show you what the win is and most importantly pay you whether you know why or not!!!

Always play full coin on a progressive, that is the only way to win the jackpot.

you should try the "geisha" or "adonis" for some fun. three special symbols and you get 15 bonus games that pay triple for any winners. while the max bet on these machine is 10 coins per line or $2, you can have just as much fun by playing 2 or 3 coins per line for a 40 cent or 60 cent bet. cheaper than your three reelers and more fun. all the newer video machines have a touch option at the bottom of the screen for "rules" and "pay tables" or something similar. look there to see what's going on. from there, just set your bet and push the buttons, the machine tells you when you win and how much. it even lights the line(s) that won. try a few. $10 in and if you build it up to $20, cash in. they don't keep hitting forever.

enjoy. andrea from las vegas.

When I first started playing the video slots I chose TEXAS TEA and
JACKPOT PARTY. There's so many now, they're lots of fun and many have some really neat Bonus Rounds. ALWAYS PLAY MAX LINES. You won't be eligible for the Bonus Rounds on many machines if you don't.
The second row of buttons (how much you play each line) is up to you.
In re. to the lines that match up one line to another line, to a line down
below,to a line on a line, AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!
I've given up trying to keep track. I know when I win, I know when I loose
and they ARE FUN...LOL
