NORM: Barbra Streisand at Planet opening.
Barbra Streisand will head the entertainment lineup for the Nov. 16-17 grand opening of Planet Hollywood Resort.
Joining her will be political satirist Jon Stewart; Bruce Willis and his band; Earth, Wind & Fire; Sugar Ray; DMC and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
Streisand is a major coup for Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl, who has been privately promising a shocker. She's become one of the biggest-ticket headliners in the world.
Her two-day Madison Square Garden engagement in 2000 was billed as her farewell, but she has since toured and appeared in Las Vegas a year ago at the MGM Grand.
Stewart, host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," will open the weekend celebration, with Streisand performing the next night.
Earl's entertainment lineup is a strong start toward his vow that the weekend will be one of biggest openings held in Las Vegas.
He's also promised more than 100 big-name red carpet attendees.

More polish for Golden Nugget.
Downtown hotel gets more space for casino, meetings; hotel tower to come.
By BENJAMIN SPILLMAN /LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
Last year owners of the Golden Nugget spent $100 million on the hotel's biggest upgrade since 1984 when Steve Wynn owned the property.
There's more where that came from.
Now Landry's Restaurants, a Houston-based company that bought the Golden Nugget in 2005, is finishing a $70 million casino, convention and nightclub addition.
As early as next year the company plans to spend another $150 million adding an approximately 500-room hotel tower with casino to what is already the swankiest spot on Fremont Street.
When the tower opens in 2009, Landry's will have spent more on renovations and additions to the Golden Nugget than they spent in 2005 acquiring the property and a sister hotel-casino in Laughlin for $295 million in cash and debt assumption.

The New Frontier) will be imploded Nov. 13 at 2:30 a.m. This date appears to be very firm. If you have never witnessed a Las Vegas implosion, this may be your last chance in years. With the economy slowing a bit and construction already in progress throughout the next few years schedules on various projects (CityCenter, Frontier replacement, Palazzo), there doesn't appear to be any new massive scale projects on the horizon that will require implosion of an existing structure.
Silverton Expansion Underway Scheduled for completion early 2009, the Silverton Casino Lodge's 35,000-square-foot expansion and upgrade project is formally underway. New gaming facilities will include 800 more slot machines, a high-limit gaming salon, a race and sports book, and poker lounge. Other additions to the property's amenities will include three new restaurants, a center bar, and a $15 million entertainment and pool venue that will occupy nearly two acres with five pools, 30 cabanas, fire pits, bars, and a full stage capable of hosting concerts for audiences of up to 2,000.

Coast Casinos Revises Rewards Program Effective Oct. 29, the Club Coast rewards program has changed from coin-out to coin-in. Every dollar of coin-in played is worth one point with points redeemable at the exchange rate of 1000 points for $1 in cash back or comps. Players with existing accounts have had their point balances adjusted so the dollar value of points earned before Oct. 29 is worth the same under the new system. For example, if a player had 25,000 worth $75 under to the old system, the points total was adjusted on Oct. 29 to 75,000 making it worth the same $75 in cash back or comps.

'Viva Laughlin' Bites the Dust As anticipated, the universally-vilified new CBS show has been axed after just two airings. Hooters Revamps Dining Options Big changes are afoot at Hooters this week, where the Dam Restaurant coffee shop will close (we believe tomorrow, to make way for more gaming space) and Dan Marino's will convert into a 24-hour joint, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Illusionist Criss Angel was involved in a tense blowup Wednesday on NBC's show "Phenonenon," a series billed as a live search for the "next great mentalist."
Angel, who is working on an illusion show with Cirque du Soleil at the Luxor, took issue with a competitor who said he could communicate with the dead, and things got ugly.

"Matsuri" is closing at the Sahara on Nov. 10. The Japanese "muscle musical" of comic acrobatics had its fans, but its Japanese producers opted not to extend past a six-month contract period. David Saxe, who runs the V Theatre in the Miracle Mile Shops, holds the producer's contract with the Sahara but wasn't hands-on with operating or marketing "Matsuri."

The Second City comedy troupe usually deals not with famous names, but unknown talents who later move into high-profile gigs. But the newest player in the Flamingo's quintet has a head start on the name; he's Rob Belushi, son of James and nephew of the late John, both famed Second City alumni.

The Scintas debuted their new revue at the Las Vegas Hilton's Shimmer Cabaret this week. But it's not so much new as it is rearranged and compressed.
Not a bad thing.
I've always been a fan of the clan from Buffalo, N.Y. - brothers Frankie and Joe, sister Chrissi and the honorary Scinta, drummer Peter O'Donnell. Their revues are fun filled with lots of humor, impressions and music.
The show has a new title, "Laugh Out Loud With the Scintas," so you understand they're in it for the laughs. But they are serious about their performances and production, which moves at a steady clip for 75 minutes.
Frankie Scinta says 80 percent of the family's show has changed, although I didn't see so many changes.
"We kept some of the stuff because some of the stuff works, and we had to keep some of the winners. But a lot of the show has greatly changed," he says. "Chrissi is doing material she's never done before, and it's putting her totally outside of the box. That's the one thing that I'm totally ecstatic about, the whole new look at Chrissi. That's very exciting to me."
Frankie still carries the show with impressions and musical versatility. But Chrissi has more to do and is sexier than ever. Joe adds comedy impersonating Jerry Lewis, Joe Cocker, Mick Jagger and others. O'Donnell has added a Liberace bit.
There are enough additions and subtractions to call it a new show, but it's still the Scintas that fans have learned to love since the group arrived in Las Vegas seven years ago.
They are back where they started - at the Hilton.
Their last stint at the Sahara was a bad fit , and they went on the road.
"We've returned home," Frankie Scinta says. "When we look back, in retrospect our comedy worked best in that room (Shimmer) because of the intimacy. It's not a 1,000-seat theater, but a room with 400 seats. We're elated."
Details: "Laugh Out Loud With the Scintas," 9:30 p.m. Fridays through Wednesdays, with an additional performance at 2 p.m. Mondays, Las Vegas Hilton's Shimmer Cabaret, $54.95, 732-5755.

Viva 'Viva!'
After almost a year without a home, Dick Feeney's "Viva Las Vegas!" resurfaced Monday at the Plaza.
The afternoon show has been providing fun and inexpensive entertainment for more than 15 years. It's hard to beat a $9.95 ticket these days - add a couple of bucks and you get a buffet.
"Viva!" debuted at the Sands in 1991 and moved to the Stratosphere, where it remained until December.
Animal magician Max Clever, who was featured on last season's "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," is the host of the new-old show. The revue feature s comedians Bruce "Big John" Mickelson and Laurie Caceres, Hungarian magician Katalin and dancers Darlene Ryan, Debra Kaufman, Michelline Conrad, Cym Honeycutt and Bonnie Skilton.
Details: 2 and 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, Plaza Showroom, $9.95 and $12.88 (with buffet), 386-2444

The Best Vegas Celebrity Couples
From www.vegaspopblog.com
Vegas is a great town for coupling. There is something about all of that neon, slot machine noise and being on holiday that make people want to pair up.
There is the legal coupling known as the Las Vegas wedding which adds weight to the Vegas nickname, "The Marriage Capital of the World" and then there is the unplanned coupling based on random acts of night life that bolsters another Vegas nickname, "Sin City."
Vegas is also a great town for celebrities so it is only natural that the two concepts will intersect in the world of celebrity couples. Phyllis McGuire and Sam Giancana were probably the greatest Vegas celebrity couple love story of all time. based on Vegas lore and romanticized treatments like the movie 'Sugartime.'
Beyond the celebs who fly in for quickie Vegas weddings, here are the five current best Vegas celebrity couples:
Britney Spears and Criss Angel
This fresh Vegas celebrity couple should be made the unofficial first couple of Vegas for as long as they're together.
Britney has done more for the Vegas economy over the last few years with her appearances and Criss films his A&E 'Mindfreak' show in Vegas and will star in a Cirque du Soleil Show at the Luxor.
More importantly, they are veterans on the Vegas celebrity coupling circuit. Britney was married and annulled here and she and her second husband were constant companions of the Vegasarazzi. Criss had a Vegas fling with Paris Hilton.
I'm reading they may have already broken up, but I'm staying positive and hope these two crazy kids find a way to make it work.
If they do end up at the Little White Wedding Chapel, they need to be careful who they invite to the wedding.
Siegfried and Roy
While this Vegas power couple's romantic relationship has long since moved to a professional partnership, there is still an undeniable spiritual, magical connection between the Siegfried and Roy.
If it weren't for Roy's tragic accident back in 2003, the dynamic duo would still be fixtures on the Strip with their lifetime contract at The Mirage. Well technically, with their statue right on The Strip, they are still a fixture, but only in bronze.
They started performing in Vegas in 1972 and have performed more than 5,000 shows. Roy's rehabilitation gives hope that one day they'll be back on a Vegas stage, but in the mean time they are staying active in the community. My pal Robin Leach has some great photos of Siegfried and Roy tapping the keg at the annual Hofbrauhaus Oktoberfest in Vegas.
Pamela Anderson and Hans Klok
As far as I know, this relationship has not blossomed into a work-based romantic relationship, but the popularity of their 'Beauty of Magic' show at Planet Hollywood qualifies Pamela Anderson and Hans Klok as a couple.
Pamela has constantly been in the Vegas headlines ever since she announced she was buying a luxury pad at the Panorama Towers on The Strip last year. Unfortunately, her ex-husbands Tommy Lee and Kid Rock have also been making headlines. It seems that every time they are in Vegas at the same time, there are rumors of one threatening the other like last New Year's Eve when one showed up at the other's suite to allegedly settle a score. Of course the bravado and threats culminated in the VMA fist fight.
Known as the "World's Fastest Magician," Hans' headlines have only been for his feats on the stage. The only ex situation he has is when Carmen Electra backed out of his first planned Vegas show, but Pamela seems to be a better fit.
Maybe if this couple lasts long enough, they'll also be enshrined in bronze on The Strip.
Pink and Carey Hart
Pink is originally from Pennsylvania, but her extreme sports hubby Carey Hart grew up in Vegas and Vegas is where their relationship started to bloom a few months after meeting at the 2001 X Games.
With their jobs, they obviously travel a lot, but have residences in Vegas and LA. Carey also has a business in Vegas. The reality show 'Inked' was filmed at Carey's Hart & Huntington tattoo shop at the the Palms.
Jenna Jameson and Tito Ortiz
Jenna Jameson was born in Vegas and Tito Ortiz has made a name for himself slugging it out in the UFC Octagon in Vegas and abroad. When I interviewed the couple at the AVN Awards earlier this year. They seemed extremely happy, but the situation was a little tense, because just off-screen of this photo is Jenna's ex-husband Jay Grdina doing an interview.
Jenna has been picked apart in the tab rags all year and Tito gets a lot of grief for being the "Huntington Beach Bad Boy" and his swagger in the Octagon, but the way I see it, if you can make each other smile the way they do, that's what life is all about.

NORM: Copperfield hires his dream team.
Illusionist David Copperfield has hired a big gun in crisis management.
Copperfield joins a long list of high-profile celebrities who have turned to the Los Angeles-based firm Sitrick and Company for assistance in keeping public opinion in their favor.
Chief executive officer Mike Sitrick has been described as a "PR pit bull." He wrote the book "Spin: How to Turn the Power of the Press to Your Advantage."
His clients and their cases include: Rush Limbaugh (prescription pill addiction), Paris Hilton (jail), Halle Berry (hit-and-run charges), supermodel Naomi Campbell (assault charges), Delphi Corp. (bankruptcy), billionaire Ron Burkle (alleged extortion victim) and "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis, in jail on various charges.
Sitrick and Company will work with Copperfield attorney David Chesnoff, doing "whatever he needs and making sure the facts are out there," said Holly Baird, an associate in the firm.
A Seattle federal grand jury is investigating allegations that Copperfield raped and threatened a Washington state woman at his estate in the Bahamas, the Seattle Times reported.
The FBI reportedly confiscated digital camera equipment at Copperfield's Las Vegas warehouse and searched his backstage area at the MGM Grand.

SHOW REVIEW: 'Viva Las Vegas'
On The Cheap: You get what you pay for at 'Viva Las Vegas'
By MIKE WEATHERFORD/LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
The big showstopper in "Viva Las Vegas" used to be an Elvis goof by the late "Golden Joe" Baker, a little guy with a body that made Buddy Hackett seem like a he-man by comparison.
The show still features Las Vegas' most unusual Elvis spoof. But the wig and glasses now are donned by a little dog named Jo Jo, who sits so still after he wheels out in a miniature Cadillac that it takes a while to know for sure he's real.
But you do what you can to get noticed — and stay under budget — in the city's only $10 show ($10.95 with tax). On the way out, you can buy a T-shirt of Jo Jo for another $10, which costs $5 more than the other T-shirt depicting the quintet of showgirls featured in the afternoon revue.
Granted, the dancers aren't the best part of the show. But that still seems a little harsh.

KLOK COMING OUT
Dutch illusionist Hans Klok clarifies his sexuality — he's gay, not bi — in this week's Q Vegas Magazine.
Klok, who stars with Pamela Anderson in "The Beauty of Magic," came out in a National Coming Out Day interview.
"I'm proud about who I am," Klok told Q's Erica Grimaldo. "I don't want to lie."
The magazine hits the newsstands on Thursday and the vegas.com Web site at midnight tonight.
His acknowledgement wasn't planned, Q magazine editor Corey Burgess said. "It just kind of came out in the interview. The show's PR company wanted a feature, and it just happened to coincide with National Coming Out Day."
Klok told Q he's been out in Europe for years and has had a partner for 16 years. But people had been telling him not to come out in Las Vegas for a couple of years.
The bisexual rumor has been fueled by Klok and Anderson hinting they are romantically involved.

The Mirage Reveals Spectacular Living Seas.
New Lobby Aquarium Features Sea Creatures From Around the World.
After a two-month transformation, The Mirage’s famed lobby aquarium – already one of the most elaborate and technically advanced in the world – now offers visitors a new sensory escape.
The addition of hundreds of new sea creatures to the exhibit provides a rare glimpse into the aquatic wonders of our planet. Nearly 1,000 marine life forms now comprise a thriving undersea community within the 20,000 gallon display. Sharks, stingrays and porcupine fish now can be seen swimming side-by-side with eels, sea bass and puffer fish behind four-inch thick acrylic walls.
Top aquarium design experts, noted for their work at such distinguished facilities as California’s Monterey Bay Aquarium and The National Aquarium in Baltimore, Md., collaborated to enhance the 53-by-8-foot display.
New, brighter artificial corals call to mind the exotic beauty of such tropical locales as Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. In order to protect the environment it celebrates, The Mirage donated the exhibit’s old reef system to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. The aquarium’s filtration and life support systems also were replaced with technology that improves visibility and monitoring.

The Real Thing Coming
SUSHI SAMBA a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, music and design is finally coming to Vegas. Sushi Samba with its centerpiece sushi and seviche bar is going to be located in The Pallazo at The Venetian. Vegas has had a taste of Sushi Samba over the last few years because Chef Eiji Takase at Shibuya in the MGM was formerly of the Sushi Samba restaurant group. Takase is mastermind behind the menu at Shibuya that gave the traditional Japanese recipes American flair.
SUSHISAMBA Carnaval-inspired colors born of the energy and spirit of three distinct cultures that took root in the early 20th century. Thousands of Japanese emigrants traveled to South America's fertile soil to cultivate coffee plantations and find their fortune. In bustling cities like Callao and Lima in Peru, and São Paulo in Brazil, the integration of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cultures flourished.
This launched a culinary coup. Hearty moquecas and colorful seviches found a place at the table along side simple miso soup and tender sashimi. SUSHISAMBA serves these traditional dishes, plus more inventive fare, including Sashimi Seviche, Sushi Salada, and South American Beef Maki Rolls; all with a samba beat.
A New Tattoo at House Of Blues.

Beginning October 17, 2007, visitors of the House of Blues Las Vegas. inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will witness the unveiling of a 100’ X 13’ lenticular 3-D wall, marking the start of construction of Starlight Tattoo at House of Blues Las Vegas. The concept and announcement was made by Mario Barth, CEO of world-renowned Starlight Tattoo and Greg Encinas, GM of the House of Blues® Las Vegas. The lenticular wall itself will also be recorded by Guinness World Records TM as the largest lenticular structure in world history. Slated for February 2008, the doors will open to a revolutionary new way to visit a tattoo studio.
The inception of Starlight Tattoo at House of Blues marks the very first time a music venue has partnered with a tattoo organization. The partnership celebrates two of the most powerful art forms in our culture —music and ink—melding into one extraordinary location at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. “We are thrilled to partner with a corporation that embraces diversity and unity,” says Mario Barth. “The opportunity to open the first-ever tattoo studio inside the legendary House of Blues is a tremendous honor for us.” House of Blues General Manager Greg Encinas adds “Starlight Tattoo is much more than a great business partner for the House of Blues. Mario’s philosophy and creativity is the perfect extension of the live music lifestyle and overall Las Vegas culture. We’re very excited.” When patrons enter the doors of Starlight Tattoo at House of Blues they will be offered the rare opportunity to select three different styles of tattooing – traditional hand tool Japanese, traditional handtool Samoan and the modern techniques of Western-style. In fact, each month Starlight Tattoo will offer a rotating roster of world-renowned guest artists at this revolutionary new tattoo studio. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind streetwear, footwear, accessories and artwork. The first OSHA approved tattoo studios in the nation, Starlight Tattoo features Barth’s revolutionary, first-ever sterile single dose inks.
Good Luck Tikis Appear On The Las Vegas Strip.
The famed four-mile stretch of the glittering Las Vegas Strip was reminiscent of Easter Island today, as one hundred tiki statues “mysteriously” appeared to mark the opening of the Trader Vic’s restaurant at the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
Origins unknown, the tikis are definitely friendly. Tourists are invited to take pictures with the tikis and rub them for good luck. Casino gamblers infused with tiki-power can expect much good fortune, and Trader Vic’s apologizes in advance to casino operators who can expect payouts of record jackpots today. Tiki sightings have been reported by the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, by the replica Eiffel Tower and many of the tikis appear intent on watching the Bellagio fountain show. Magic tikis were also spotted on-stage with famed illusionist, Hans Klok.
Each of the tiki statues are hand-carved and stand 6-feet tall by 3-feet wide. Don’t be rude and ask how much they weigh, because those Trader Vic’s BBQ Kobe short ribs with nashi pear salad and soy sake glazed Hawaiian ono with green papaya salad are hard to refuse! Suffice it to say, they’re healthy, robust tikis.

Chuck Rounds' Las Vegas Entertainment News
November 2007
David Copperfield is being investigated by the FBI for sexual misconduct with a woman in the Bahamas and a scheme to lure attractive women from various audiences. The FBI raided his warehouse and backstage at the MGM. His Indonesian tour was cancelled, but media was told that the investigation had nothing to do with it. Copperfield insists that he is innocent and that the investigation will support that. He is schedule to again appear at the MGM late this month. It will be interesting to see this develop.
Longtime local Las Vegas, Robert Goulet, has passed away from Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis. The 73-year-old Grammy, Tony, and Emmy winner was in need of a lung transplant. He died with his family by his side. I was lucky enough to meet him and see him at many events here in the city. He exuded charm and charisma…he will be missed.
Las Vegas is often plagued by rumor…and for the most part, these rumors can be intriguing—many of them prove to be true, and some are just "much ado about nothing."
It was rumored that "The Producers" would be closing, and then it was reported that the show has just had its best weeks ever and will be around until they decide to close it.
I reported last month that "The Sopranos Last Supper" might be on its last legs, and then Maggie Cupp, the producer of the show, contacted me to say the show was alive and doing very well.
Producer David Saxe will be opening a new showroom near the V theatre complex, and the unconfirmed line-up will include Andrew Dice Clay, Clint Holmes, and Toxic Audio.
Hans Klok will be closing at Planet Hollywood on December 8th. Though very well supported…he actual quote was that, "the show is hemorrhaging money." Klok also declared that he was, in fact, gay and not bi in a recent interview. Klok has been out of the closest in Europe, but was told that he shouldn’t come out in the U.S. for a couple of years—even though he’s had the same partner for the last 16 years. The rumors of being bi were fueled by the fake relationship that producers were trying to foster with Pam Anderson.
On Saturday, December 1st, Opportunity Village will attempt to break the World Record for Largest Santa Gathering and raise much needed funds and awareness for Las Vegas' Favorite Charity. At 8:00 a.m., with a welcome from your Honorary Head Santa, Mayor Oscar Goodman, the race will get started. There will have live entertainment, prizes, displays and surprises for all ages. Siegfried and Roy also host the 5-k and 1-mile events.
And speaking of Opportunity Village…"The Magical Forest" opens November 23rd. The Enchanted Carousel, the Forest Express Trains, live music, sweet treats, lavishly decorated trees, whimsical displays, millions of lights and visits with Santa Claus provide people of all ages with a winter wonderland each night during the holiday season. This season hold a truly magical surprise with new exciting attractions and an expanded Magical Forest that Las Vegas has never seen before. Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with vocational training, employment and social recreation services that make their lives more productive and interesting. Once thought by society to be unemployable and unimportant in the community, people with severe disabilities are engaged, active residents who contribute to our society. Through Opportunity Village’s programs and services, hundreds of people with disabilities are learning vocational skills and being placed in jobs throughout the community
Mentalist, Gerry McCambridge (that has his regularly running show at Hooters,) is one of the competitors on NBC's new reality series, Phenomenon. The show airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. We hope that he can make it through the eight-week competition. His survival on the program depends on the votes that are received from the public. Watch on Wednesdays, call in, and vote for Gerry.

Siegfried & Roy Take Big Strides For Opportunity Village's 2007 Las Vegas Great Santa Run.
Siegfried & Roy and Opportunity Village unite forces for the second year in a row in an attempt to break the World Record for the Largest Santa Gathering at the third annual Las Vegas Great Santa Run, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007. Siegfried & Roy serve as Honorary Team Captains for the 2007 event, giving participants a chance to be a part of something truly magical during the season of giving.
The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is a fundraising effort benefiting Opportunity Village and serves as a light, spirited warm-up run for participants in the Las Vegas Marathon the following day.
Check-in and greetings from Mayor Oscar Goodman begin at 8 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m. in and around the Fremont Street Experience. Registration fees are $45 for participants 13 and older and $25 for participants 12 and under prior to Dec. 1 with all proceeds benefiting Opportunity Village. All participants will receive a five-piece Santa costume complete with hat, belt and beard. Entrants may choose from two courses: the 5K fun-run for the long-winded Santas or the Kris Kringle Jingle, a one-mile stroll for the casual walker or jogger.
"We are delighted to be leading Opportunity Village's Great Santa Run again this year. It is a great event to support a wonderful charity in our community," said Siegfried.
"It is the magic and spirit of all of the Santas that led me through this race last year, and I look forward to it again this year. I invite you all to walk a mile in my shoes," added Roy.
For more information on the Las Vegas Great Santa Run and becoming a part of Team Siegfried & Roy, please call 702.880.4055 or visit www.opportunityvillage.org for online registration
Get Your Kicks With Donnymac66 : Red Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas Review.
From:vegastripping.com
We arrived at the Red Rock Hotel & Casino on a Monday afternoon. The area around Red Rock is still under construction however the resort itself is impressive. We arrived at the valet and were instantly greeted by a very professional staff. The valet inquired if we were checking in and immediately got a bellman. The bellman took our luggage and offered to store our golf bags until morning.
Check In
We walked through the cool red glass doors to the front desk. Check in was very efficient and there were complimentary apples and bottled water. We headed up to room 19106 after a short walk through the lobby bar to the elevator. This is the first time in Vegas that I have been able to walk from the front desk to the elevator without seeing or hearing a casino, nice touch. [That's the birthday boy, JoeyJoeJoeShabbadoo in with the rag top. Happy Birthday Joe! - Ed ]
The hallways are very nice with dark wood and carpet. We arrived at our room and it was the nicest standard room I have ever stayed in. The vibe of the entire hotel is really cool. Acid jazz/house music playing in the common areas, complimentary bottled water and apples at the front desk and really well decorated hallways and public spaces. I would like to decorate my condo like the room, the colours and materials used were great.
