Everything Las Vegas: Issue 531 Members Forums

Everything Las Vegas Members Forums.

You asked for it, you got it.

The Everything Las Vegas Members Forums are almost ready to go.

With this new feature members will be able to post a question, have it answered and the answer will be viewable for all members to read. This was the #1 request that Hunter and I received when we asked what members wanted to see at the new website.

Very Important:
You MUST SIGN UP for the Members Forum in order to post and read the articles. This is a legal requirement under COPPA for message boards/Internet forums.

You can sign up here:
http://www.everythinglv.com/forums/

Please fill out the Members Profile and explore the many options that are at the site. Members will be notified via the newsletter when posting will start.

Also my thanks once again to Hunter for setting this up for myself and my members.

I am also thinking about moving the Members Corner to the Forums. That way all the articles will be current. What do you think?

Steve

To all my members:
Please contibute to the Hurricane Relief Fund

At this site you will see a banner to contribute to the hurricane relief fund via the Red Cross’ website.

We probably have many members that have been affected by this terrible situation and I think they need our help.

Once at the site, you will see various ways of contributing such as by credit card, mail and phone. Just choose the method that you prefer and fill out the form. Make sure you specify 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund.

I have also approached some of my entertainment contacts for ticket donations.

I have already received a commitment of 100 tickets from Larry G. Jones for his show. (details to follow)

Also interested are The Fashionistas who have offered tickets to be auctioned off for the relief fund.

need ideas

good morning steve from florida,
we are having our daughter’s wedding in las vegas, at the luxor, on october 29. we need ideas from those that have stayed in vegas about the vacation condo rentals, such as the polo tower, fairfield grand desert resort, royal vacation suites. i have bridesmaids with families and a mother in her 70’s that want to stay at non-casino places, that are safe and have possible shuttle service to the strip. if anyone can give me some info on these vacation rental places, or any other place good to stay for 4-7 days that is reasonable, I NEED HELP!!!

Re: Everything Las Vegas Issue
Hi Steve,

I’ve been receiving your newsletter for a while, but I have to admit, I haven’t been reading it. I’m now planning a trip to Las Vegas, and I’m amazed at the amount of information you offer your members! What a great newsletter!

I would like to ask your readers if they have any recommendations for shows or events that a 9 year old would enjoy. We’ve taken her to Mama Mia, Mystere, Danny Gans, etc. I specifically want to know if “We Will Rock You” is suitable for a 9 year old. She’s a daredevil, so roller coasters and theme parks are high on her list. If you know of anything that’s a not to be missed event for families, please write cline22@aol.com.

Rio Coupons
I have read that the Rio seafood buffet was great. Do you know of any coupons I can find that are free to get a discount on this buffet. Any info on the Paris Hotel would be appreciated also. Thank you.

We are planning a trip to Vegas on September 15 for a week. I need to know all the CHEAP places to eat……. 2-for-1 tours, meals, shows, etc. ………coupon books………and anything else that will help us stretch our money for a good time. Also, I hear Vegas has a fantastic flea market but have no idea of the location, name or anything else about it. Could someone please help us out with any info about the flea market ? Thanks…beaniebar4@aol.com

Love these newsletters…….leaving Sept 17th for seven nights at the Excaliber, anyone have any suggestions? we’ve been before, looking for new things to do, eat, see…go! Has anyone tried “Landers Restaurant” on Sahara ? It is a locals place and the food has always been wonderful, the service is great, the people are polite and friendly… and the prices are reasonable. WE go at least twice in the week we are there. CCherbLady@aol.com

I was wondering if anyone had any information on staying at the New Frontier and Barbary Coast - I will be in Las Vegas from Oct 17 - 23 and was considering one of these 2 Casinos to stay at since most of the others are expensive that week - any information, good or bad, about either would be greatly appreciated, including what the comps are like. Thanks! Mike mlight@cinci.rr.com

Britney may get full-time LV gig.

Mommy-to-be Britney Spears may be expecting a long-term Las Vegas engagement.

She’s embracing the idea of becoming a resident headliner and nontouring mom, a la Celine Dion, according to Las Vegas deal maker Jack Wishna, who met with her recently.

“The parties are working on a deal that could bring Britney in her own show in Las Vegas by 2007-2008,” Wishna said Saturday by e-mail.

Wishna did not identify the property he’s negotiating for, other than saying it is not Phil Ruffin’s New Frontier or Donald Trump’s residential tower. Wishna, who put together the Ruffin-Trump deal, said he’s representing a “major Strip property.”

He said he’s also been discussing a deal that would bring Madonna to the same property, for several weeks at a time.

  1. Steve, I think it would be great to have the Members’ Corner in the Forums so we could see each other’s answers — but we need a reminder every month (or more often) to go there and answer the questions other people have.

Perhaps you could include a reminder with your regular newsletter, along with the web address of the Forums.

Keep up the great work! I really enjoy the newsletter……….Robin

  2. It’s been a long time since I so enjoyed reading posts in the net. Two thumbs up!
